FINALLY, AFTER months of therapies, Narae was able to communicate with the male species. She was no longer trembling nor stuttering, and Anurak felt like a proud big brother.

Two years later, Anurak found himself in front of a boy. If his assumptions were right, this kid is two or three years ahead of him.

"Anurak, this is Charles Dominique. Charles, this is Anurak. You'll be attending the same school," imporma ng mommy niya sa kanya.

Anurak automatically smiled and lent out his hand. "Nice to meet you, P'Charles."

The boy named Charles just stared at his hand for a second before accepting it. "Nice to meet you."

They shortly shook their hands before letting go. Chailai once again spoke, "Charles and his family just got here in Thailand from New Jersey, Anurak. So be nice to him and tour him around the school," nakangiting sabi nito bago sila iniwan.

Since when did I become a tour guide? Napailing na lang si Anurak.

Nung isang araw kasi ay umuwi na muna si Narae sariling nilang bahay dahil natapos na rin ang trabaho ng mga magulang nito. At dahil doon, ilang araw nang wala sa mood si Anurak. He felt like his little sister was taken away from him without his consent.

Ilang beses siyang napabuntong hininga bago narinig ang boses ng nasa harap niya pala. "If you don't wanna do it, it's fine. I can go on my own," parang bored na sabi nito.

Agad napaangat ng tingin si Anurak saka blankong tumingin sa ipinakilala sa kanya ng ina niya. "What's your grade level?"

"Grade twelve," simpleng sagot nito.

A man of few words? Ahh... parang si Narae nung una. "I'm a grade eleven student."

"Okay."

Napabuntong hininga naman si Anurak. I'm really not in the right mood and this person is not cooperating. "Okay. Is this your first time in Thailand?"

"Yes."

I need more patience, please send help. "Can you speak Thai?"

"A little."

Mariing napapikit si Anurak ng mga mata saka dumilat. "Do you want me to teach you?"

Charles shrugged before looking at him. "Aren't you going to tour me around the school?"

This guy's aura shouts arrogance. At kapag hindi pa nakapagpakalma si Anurak, he'll blow up in front of this stranger. "Let's go."

Akmang maglalakad na si Anurak papasok ng campus nang may narinig siyang sumigaw. "Oppa!"

Agad lumingon si Anurak sa taong 'yun at mabilis na nawala ang pagkabad mood niya. "Nóng săao!" Anurak even forgot that Charled existed and ran towards his not so little cousin. He immediately gave her a hug. "How are you? Ang tagal mong nawala."

Mahinang natawa naman si Narae saka kumawala sa yakap. "Oppa, you're really OA. I have just been gone for a day."

Anurak chuckled and messed her hair. "You know that you're my little sister. Of course, I'll miss you that much."

Narae smiled. "I missed you too, Oppa." She moved a little to look at something over his shoulder. "By the way, who is he?" She looked back at him. "Is he your new friend, Oppa?"

Nagtatakang nilingon ni Anurak ang tiningnan ng pinsan niya. Saka lang niya naalalang may kasama nga pala siya. "Oh right! About him, Mom asked me to tour him around the campus. Seems like his parents and mine are close. At kagagaling niya lang sa New Jersey."

Narae's lips formed an O, before smiling at him. "Ay Oppa! I remember Mom telling me about switching schools. Looks like I'll transfer here as well."

Anurak couldn't explain the happiness he feels inside of him. "That's great news! Hindi na ako ganon mag-aalala."

Natawa na naman si Narae. "You're the best big brother I never had."

"And you're the sweetest little sister of mine." Anurak caressed her hair. "Ay! Oo nga pala! Babalikan ko yung lalakeng 'yun."

Narae chuckled. "I wanna go with you. I promise I won't be a burden."

Anurak smiled. "I would like that very much. Let's go."

Sabay na lumapit ang dalawa sa lalakeng bored na bored na nakatayo doon habang nakatingin sa kanila.

Narae was the first one to break the silence. "Hi! I'm Narae Melody, fourteen years old, and you are?"

Charles stared at her for a second before he replied, "Charles Dominique, eighteen."

"Oh! You're just a year older than my Oppa," Narae cheerfully commented.

Hindi alam ni Charles kung ano ang isasagot sa sinabi nito kaya nanatili na lang siyang tahimik. He didn't really want to waste his energy talking. Ugh! I hope Wynter visits here.

The three spent their morning and break times roaming around the school. Ilang araw rin nilang ginawa 'yun. Hanggang sa nasanay na sila sa isa't isa. Lalo naman si Charles na walang kakilala sa school, instead of spending his break times alone, lagi siyang ginugulo nung dalawa, kaya ang ending ay nagiging komportable na siya sa kanila.

Months later, their Christmas break came and Charles was surprised by Wynter's presence in front of their school.

"Yow, Dom!" sigaw ni Wyn at nang makuha niya ang atensyon nito ay saka siya kumaway.

Anurak and Narae were just looking at each other before they looked back at the young woman. "Who's Dom?" both of them asked.

Charles smiled. "Me." Then he ran to Wynter and greeted each other.

Sabay namang naglakad sila Narae at Anurak papunta sa gate ng school para roon na rin hintayin si Charles at nang makauwi na sila nang sabay-sabay.

"Hey, wait. I'll introduce you to Wyn," biglang pigil ni Charles sa dalawang lalampasan sana siya. Lumapit naman sila at tumayo sa harap ng babaeng tinawag na Wyn. "Wyn, this is Anurak and his cousin, Narae. Guys, this is Wynter, my best friend."

Narae smiled at the beautiful girl. "Hi! Nice to meet you. Kuya Charles is a kind but serious type of person. I hope we'll get along just fine, Unnie."

Wynter blinked numerous times before smiling at the kid. "Well, your Kuya Charles is actually a cuckoo so don't mind his serious attitude. That's just him being crazy—"

"Hey!" biglang saway ni Charles kay Wyn.

"Hey to you too," Wynter replied before rolling her eyes and smiling again at Narae. "Narae, right?" The little girl nodded smilingly. "That's a pretty name."

"Your name is pretty as well, Unnie."

Wynter caressed Narae's hair. "Such a flatterer," natatawang sabi nito bago tumingin kay Anurak. "And you're Anurak, am I right?"

He smiled. "Yep, that's me. By the way, what brought you here?"

Wynter glanced at Charles before answering his question, "My family traveled here to visit Dom and spend Christmas with his family."

Agad tumingin ng nakakaloko si Anurak kay Charles saka ito tinudyo, "Are you sure you're just best friends?"

Charles glared at him. "Of course."

Contrary to Charles' defensive—at least that's what Anurak assumed—answer, he actually saw Wynter blush a little. Mahina naman siyang natawa. He didn't push the topic anymore dahil halatang tatanggi lang naman ang dalawa.

"Anyways, let's go?" biglang yaya ni Wynter kay Charles. She faced them again while smiling. "Hope to see you two soon."

"Me too, Unnie!" Narae replied.

"See ya then." Anurak waved his hand and bid goodbye, same with Charles.

And as the four of them separate ways, they all think of when they'll meet again. Surprisingly, the Christmas party was held at the Saetang residence.
