"Now you men need to understand we only have one job at this gala." Skywalker began as he informed his men. "We are only accompanying Senator Amidala to ensure of her safety. Above all else, no harm can come to her." He added. "You heard the general." Rex added. "So that means no dancing, no distractions, and no socializing." The orders caused the sound of various groans and complaints from his men and Rex sighed. "But-" "No buts. These are direct orders, and you will follow them accordingly." "Yes sir." The men replied in a much more somber manner. For men who constantly worked for the better of their Republic it didn't seem that the clones were ever granted much time to have any fun. The only time they ever got to enjoy themselves were the few times they were on leave with enough time to spare to head down to 79's for drinks and other stress relievers. They had never had such an opportunity to attend a social gathering for royals and other elite members of society. And they would be damned if they let such a rarity of an occasion slip by without exploiting it's opportunities as much as possible. "Senator Amidala is ready for our escort." Anakin spoke to Rex who nodded. "Then we're on our way."

"There you are miss Calypso." Miss Turner said as she gently placed the pearl lined tiara on to the blonde girl's head. "Ready for the gala you are." She added as she stepped back to get a look at the princess. She was the picture of beauty and grace. A ball gown lined primarily of tool the color of the soft blue sky was draped over her skin. The thick tool skirt draped effortlessly over her hoop skirt which gave the skirt enough volume to look as if it were the perfect princess dress. The sleeves of the gown hung off of her shoulders and the corset, which was not tied nearly as tight as the last time, was snuggly secured around her torso, giving her chest enough noticeable cleavage but not enough to make her seem as if she were a harlot. Her golden wavy hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall of pure clover honey and her tiara of pearls matched perfectly with the pearl details of her dress. Her shoes were the most elegant part of it all. On her feet were heals lined with crystal and silver. They were detailed with pearls, making them look almost like the perfect glass slippers, but those belonged to another princess. "Chin up your highness." Miss turned said to the girl as she hooked a finger under her chin and tilted her face up to look at her. "Your clone medic should be there. And truly, you will be a lovely sight for him to behold."

"You know Ani I can manage on my own." Padme said as Anakin escorted her through the halls of the palace, his men flanking them on either side. Anakin smiled at the woman who wore elegant clothing for her evening. Drapes of beautiful shades of purple and pink covered her skin. Her brown hair was pulled back into a half up half down style with flowers woven into her her brown curls. As always, Padme was the pinnacle of beauty. The woman truly seemed to be the personified image of a rose. Anakin grinned softly at her words. "I couldn't imagine letting you go to a social gathering on a strange planet unsupervised." "Anakin," Padme said with a softly smile as she looked up at the Jedi, "I do that all the time, it's part of my job as a senator." Anakin grinned back at her and moved one of his hands to brush a stray strand of brown curly hair from her face. "What can I say?" He said softly. "I cannot let an elegant flower like you go out alone unprotected when I can spare the chance, and the men, to come with you and keep an eye on things." Padme looked down as the walked, a charmed smile pulled at her elegant lips. She knew the real reason why Anakin was tagging along, they both knew. It wouldn't be right for a husband to let his wife go to such a lavish and important gathering without him escorting her throughout the whole event, even if it was in secret. At least the two of them knew the real reason behind Anakin's companionship with her this evening and Padme was beyond grateful that Anakin finally found a way to sneak himself with her to one of these social gatherings. Even if he did have to bring his men along with him, Padme truly didn't mind she just enjoyed the company, which was something her voyages for the senate usually lacked unless it was the company of a droid or even another Senator. It was nice to have less political minds with her on this evening, it truly was a nice change of pace. "Ani," Padme spoke up as she walked along side her Jedi. "Thank you."

The men were stationed parallel to one of the walls of the large ballroom with orders to watch senator Amidala carefully and to make sure nothing happened to her. But the men were not stupid. They all began to see through Anakin's charade and the pure fact that Anakin sat with Padme as they waited for the banquet to begin was a definite sign that this was no security mission, this was an excuse for the General to spend an evening with the beautiful Senator. The men may have been upset at first but seeing as how this also gave them a chance to enjoy the finer things in life that they may not have a chance to do without Skywalker and his efforts to enamor the senator. And thus, the men were thankful for the chance to view the way parties went for royals. Specifically a few princesses that had caught the minds of a few clones. Kix couldn't guard his mind from the idea of Calypso among the fine lighting and decor of the ball room. The two had become dangerously close and addicted to one another like a drug. Their opium was finding out how many hits of the other until it was too much. It was thrilling for the heart and the mind but terrible for the soul to know it was all for not every time, every hit, every dose. It was the thrill of the chase and the even more satisfaction of the catch that would be the downfall for both Kix and his precious princess. But nothing of the rattling thoughts in his mind could have prepared him for the effortless visage of beauty that was Princess Calypso Canto in her fine ball gown and sparkling blue eyes. The way his field of vision lit up when she entered the room, trailing behind her sisters made almost a faint blush appear on his cheeks as he removed his helmet to get a proper look at her. She was the picture of beauty, like a true fine work of art. She seemed to notice she was being watched, for she turned to find the source of the oncoming gaze. Her blue eyes scanned the room until hey landed on Kix and a smile brightened up her face, setting her true enchanting demeanor in stone. She gently raised a hand to discreetly send a wave in his direction and Kix couldn't help himself. He waved back almost instantly, like a giddy child at a toy store. Truly, to him, Calypso was the most Bewitchingly lovely thing he had ever laid his eyes on.
