Seeing most of his brothers, even his captain, fall to the action of socializing, Kix didn't think there would be anything wrong with speaking with his beloved mute princess. He walked over to where she stood and removed his helmet, holding it under his arm. "Miss Calypso." He greeted her and upon hearing her name the girl looked up and a delighted smile bloomed on her lips. "K-I-X" She signed excitedly. She was all dressed up and presented to be as beautiful as she could possibly be while Kix was merely in his armor but to Calypso it didn't matter. She was always delighted to see him. He reached for her hand and his gloved fingers gently lifted her dainty fingers to his lips where he pressed a soft double meaning kiss to her knuckles. He wished to kiss her lips again much like they had last night but he did not want to think of the chaos that would ensue if a mere clone medic was seen locking lips with a princess. The king would loose his mind if he saw his youngest daughter embracing the clone in such a way. He looked back up at her face to see a soft blush had bloomed on her cheeks and he grinned softly at the sight. "I wish you had come sooner." Calypso began to sign as the grin began to vanish from her face. "Why's that?" Kix asked and Calypso felt the brief warmth of the moment beginning to fade like the sun disappearing behind the clouds. "Because I have to meet my future husband now."

Kix's face fell almost immediately. He watched the princess as she reached out and gave his hand a squeeze before walking off to find her sisters and the man she was to marry. Kix didn't think about how hard it would be to watch the woman he had fallen hopelessly for walk off to dance with her arranged fiancé. But it hurt him like nothing he had ever felt before. In all his years of medical training he never thought he could feel pain like this. A pain in his heart like someone had reached out and squeezed it, ridding it of every feeling of joy, glee, love, and all around emotion. He felt empty and hollow watching the princess leave him. The second her hand left his all the warmth and joy went with her. He felt his heart sink to his stomach and he decided to put his helmet back on so no one could see the pained emotion on his face caused by the absence of Calypso Canto.

"You must be Princess Calypso." A man spoke to the blonde as he bowed before her. Calypso nodded as she curtsied before him respectfully. He reached out to take her hand and thus began the waltz between future husband and wife. "My name is Duke Caspian of Argo." He replied. His skin was a fair shade of pale and he had icy blue eyes that seemed almost lifeless. He had curly blonde hair that almost reached his shoulders. He had distinct markings on his face in blue that calypso assumed were the markings of his home world and a cultural practice they had perfected over the years. His stiff uniform was detailed with blue and gold. He looked like the image of a perfect prince, tall, handsome, and regal. Upon hearing the silence of Calypso's response to his name Caspian scoffed. "Figures I would get stuck with the mute princess." He muttered as he led her in a formal dance. "At least you're appealing to look at." He added. "I do Believe that's all you have going for you, unfortunately." He continued. Calypso shot him a surprised look. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. "However, I suppose a woman of your type is idea." He continued. "You cannot speak your mind, your thoughts are invalid. I know several men who would kill to have a woman like you, silent." Calypso felt her breathing go shallow. She never wanted to speak so badly until this moment. Caspian proceeded to insult her in every way possible and yet this was the man she was arranged to marry. The longer she moved with him in the dance the more hopeless she became. No one had ever treated her like this. In a moment of pure hopelessness she looked to Kix who watched her discreetly with his helmet covering his face. Her eyes said it all, pain and suffering. In a single movement as soon as both her hands were free she looked to Kix and signed the word "help" by bringing her closed fist to her other palm. Kix removed his helmet but there was nothing he could do until the dance was done. "I look forward to living with you, Calypso." Caspian said with a smug grin. "You will always be perfect for you are silent therefor a fine man like myself can always have my way, the right way. With our kingdom and with you." His words terrified her, enough so that she pulled her hand from his. "What are you-" she looked up at him with a look a kin to that of a terrified trapped animal. Her body shivered as she took in a deep breathe before running off into the crowd of people. She wanted, she needed, to find Kix. This was truly too much for her.
