"So I didn't tell him yet."
Louis shook his head as he focused on the whipped cream he was putting on top of the drink he had just made. Millie accepted the money the customer held out to her and she opened the register quickly.
"It's just not the right time. I will soon though, you know?" She defended herself as she grabbed change out of the drawer and waited for the receipt to print.
"Millie, Finn is head over heels for you, I'm sure he wouldn't mind another little you running around," Louis replied.
"Your drink will be right out," Millie grabbed the receipt and handed it to the customer before turning towards Louis, "but he didn't seem like he wanted kids last night when we talked about it. Not yet at least."
"You can't really do anything about that though now Millie unless-" Louis cut himself off and Millie gave him a look.
"Even if I did do...that, I would still want to tell him," she said with a shake of her head.
Everything felt so confusing at the moment and she hated it. Her mind was thinking of everything but work when that's what she was supposed to be focusing on.
"But I did make a doctor's appointment," she mentioned.
"Oh?" Louis replied back.
She nodded, "and...I was hoping you'd go with me?"
Her words were rushed and he sighed, "How did I know you were going to ask me that?"
"Just for now until I tell Finn. I don't want to feel alone there," she almost begged him.
He sighed, "Fine."
"Thank you so much," she could feel relief wash through her, "It's Friday after work."
"And then you'll tell him?" Louis asked with hope.
Millie bit her bottom lip and shrugged with a small nod, "All in good time."
"You can't hide it forever," Louis commented.
Millie sighed as she put a lid on a cup and slid it towards the guest waiting. She looked lost as she turned around and absentmindedly started to make another drink.
"Let's change the subject, this is obviously stressing you out," Louis offered.
Millie nodded with thankfulness before Louis started to speak again. She pushed away any other thoughts and focused on his words, her mind urging her eyes to look at him so that she could pay attention better. If she threw herself into her work then she'd be able to forget about her current problems, at least for a while.

"How was work?"
Finn kissed Millie's cheek as she got into the car before holding out a milkshake to her.
"Your favorite, strawberry."
She gave a small smile in thanks and accepted it before buckling herself into her seat.
"It was kind of slow, I couldn't wait to leave, honestly," she replied as she took a sip from her drink.
"That's a first," Finn replied as he started to drive their way home. His hand traveled across the center console of the car and placed itself on her leg comfortably. A chill was sent through her body and she took a second to think about if it was Finn or the cold drink in her hand that had caused it.
"I know, I just haven't really been enjoying it lately. I always feel so tired after," Millie said a bit sadly, "I think it just feels like the same thing every day, it's repetitive."
