God they were taking forever.

Finn sighed again as he sat in the drivers seat of his mom's car. It seemed as if hours had passed as he waited in the parking garage of the doctor's office. He wasn't even so sure why he was waiting anymore at this point. He saw what he needed to see and now he had to decide if he wanted to bring it up to Millie or just wait to see if she would. He could just be misunderstanding the whole situation for all he knew. His eyes looked up at the elevator again and as if on cue the doors opened up across the way and Millie stepped out with Louis close behind her. They seemed to be deep in conversation and Finn sunk down in the seat again as he watched them head to his car.

They stopped and looked at each other over the top of the car and Finn decided that he needed to get closer. It was risky and he knew it but he couldn't stop himself as he was already opening the door to the car quietly and crawling out to squat down behind the one in front of him. He could hear their voices but not exactly what they were saying and he bit his lip before making the quick second decision to get just a little closer.

His knees were aching from duck-walking across part of the parking garage and squatting behind a car across from where Millie had parked his own.

"...scary."

Finn's ears practically perked up as he could finally hear their conversation. There was a slight pause and then Millie was speaking again.

"Everything is different now."

His heart felt like it was dropping. Everything was different? Was she talking about him? Maybe about the fact that she could be pregnant? Or maybe everything was different with Louis? There were so many possibilities and Finn's worry only grew stronger as he tried to think of what she could mean by those four words.

"It doesn't have to be. You're going to do what's best and if he reacts badly then I'll still be here."

Finn's eyebrows furrowed. They were definitely talking about him. So she was pregnant. He sunk down to sit on his legs that he folded under him. She was planning on telling him then? He wasn't so sure if he would be able to handle that. He could hardly even get past the fact that she had been with someone else. She had been with someone else...right? Maybe there was the possibility that it was his. But even if it was, Louis was the one with her here now. There had to be a reason for that right?

His mind shut down as he heard them get into the car. It started up and he peered around the car he was behind to see them go. His stomach was physically starting to hurt as he saw Millie giving Louis a small smile while he said something to her. It was painful to see her so calm and happy with someone else. Just when Finn thought that he had seen enough is when Louis reached over for Millie's arm and pulled her towards him.

Oh god they're about to kiss.

Finn's head turned away quickly. If thinking about Millie with somebody else was hurting him this much; physically seeing her with somebody else would probably be ten times worse. He listened as the car drove off and left him in silence. He sat there for a few minutes before letting out a breath and forcing himself to stand up.

"Everything is different now."

Finn muttered the words to himself with furrowed eyebrows while he climbed into his mother's car. He still couldn't decipher what that meant but he wasn't so sure that he wanted to find out anyway. Millie had hesitation in her voice as she had conversed with Louis and Finn was willing to cling onto that bit of hope. Maybe Millie had been with Louis but she regrets it. Would he even be able to get passed that? Could he forgive her? What if she didn't regret it? What if she hadn't even been with him and he was conjuring up that idea on his own? No, he couldn't be making it up because why would she invite him here?
