Millie's alarm went off loudly.
She was up quick, her hair a wreck and her skin warm from clinging to Finn's. She held the top half of her body up and stared down at him and his face that was slightly illuminated by the bit of sun peeking in through the crack in the curtains. She only stared for a few moments before shaking him slightly in an attempt to wake him.
"Hey," she said in a whisper, "it's the morning."
No response.
She waited a few more seconds before poking his chest, "Finn, it's morning."
He moved slightly this time but still wasn't fully awake. Millie sighed and grabbed his hand before kissing his palm and making her way from his wrist to his forearm with light kisses the entire way. Finn pulled his arm away quickly and groaned as he cradled the thing like she had hurt it.
"My love it's time to get up," Millie laid on his body parallel so that her face was merely inches apart.
"No." His word was blunt and he pulled his lips in to make sure Millie wouldn't kiss them. He always gave in when she kissed him awake.
She leaned forward anyway and her lips touched the very top of his nose. He scrunched it up in reply and let out another whine.
"How are you going to keep me up all night and then wake me up at an ungodly hour?" He said with his eyes still closed.
Millie sat up and looked down at him underneath her, "Me keeping you up? You kept me up!"
Finn moved his arms up and over his eyes. He crossed them and shook his head as Millie sighed. She started to get off of him but his right arm went down quick to grab her thigh and keep her in place. She huffed as he started to peek out from underneath his arm and gave a goofy smile.
"Good morning sunshine."
Millie couldn't help the smile that crawled it's way up to her lips. God she really hated the way she would turn to putty in his hands with just three simple words. She tilted her head as he linked his hands with hers and squeezed them lightly.
"Good morning," she replied back, "it's time to get up."
She couldn't let the issue at hand slip away from her mind so easily. Today was her day to do what she pleased and her first plan on the list was the dreaded hike that Finn was trying to get her to forget.
"What do I have to do to get you to stay in bed with me all day?" He asked as he brought each of her hands to his mouth and kissed the backs of them softly.
Millie shook her head, "No, we are going on that hike, you promised me today."
Finn didn't reply. He pulled her down to him and caught her lips in a slow kiss. She kissed back by instinct but pulled away quickly as she realized what he was doing.
"No distractions!" She laughed as she completely pulled herself off of the bed and started towards the bathroom. Finn watched her go for a second before getting up after her.
He reached her just as she got to the door of the bathroom and he spun her around quickly. His hands held her waist tightly as he pulled her body flush against his own.
"Ten minutes?"
Millie laughed and leaned her head back as he covered her neck in small butterfly kisses. She shook her head no and tried to pull away but he only held her in his arms even tighter.
"Finn," she groaned with a huff at the end.
He laughed a little and let her go reluctantly, his fingertips grazing down her arm as she pulled away. His hand held onto her own hand for a few drawled out seconds before he released it with sad eyes. She gave her own look back and he crossed his arms like a child.
