I know that there are a few of you out there that like my Night King imagines. So, I thought I would start a new one. Hope you enjoy.

The birds flew from their roosts as she made her way through the silent forests. Even though they were used to her presence, her nocturnal wanderings would always rouse them from their slumber. The crows spreading their wings and taking to the night sky as she passed. Their pitch black wings blocking out the moonlight, as their mistress silently made her way through the trees. The crow queen smiling softly as her murder filled the air.

She was ancient. As old as the mountains. As old as the earth and the rivers that were its blood. The oldest of evils. She had seen many things. Knew many more. Yet all this time she had been alone. All this time, it had been nothing more than her and the birds. Nothing coming between her and her feathered protectors. For generations, the crows had watched over their monarch. Their love and respect for her never wavering, despite their banishment from the world.

"My lady." A voice said. The crow queen turning to see one of her birds transform into a man. His shimmering opalescent feathers changing into regal robes of state, that hug from his broad shoulder.

"Is everything well, my lady?" The man asked. Bowing respectfully as his queen turning back to look into the star studded night.

"It grows colder, do you not think, Azraphel? I have not known it this cold for many moons. Something is happening in the world beyond our forest. Something I need to see. There is a darkness that has returned to the land. A darkness that I have not sensed since the time of the First Men. I must escape the confines of our banishment. It must go and find it. See if it is him." The queen said quietly. Her thoughts going back to a time before most that now lived, could remember. A time when he had turned the world cold. The time of the Night King.

"But.......my lady......you cannot leave here. And.......it could not be him. He was banished just like us. He is now nothing more than a myth in the world of the mortals. A nightmarish tale that they speak about around their fires at night. He........"

"And what do you think we are, Azraphel? I can only imagine that I am little more than a myth, myself. Yet, if we are still here. If we still exist. Then why not him? I can feel him in the air. Sense his presence in the cold. I can see him as my breath hangs like a heavy mist in the night. If he has somehow managed to return from the Lands of Always Winter, then perhaps their magic grows weak. If he can return. Then so can I. And this time, I will ensure that he is not defeated by the Children and their mortal allies. This time, he will not be driven back." The queen replied, as she turned back to look at her advisor. The man cowering under the gaze of the wicked queen.

"But, my queen.......the Night King will turn the land to permanent winter. We cannot survive......."

"Do not be so foolish, Azraphel. Once the mortals are brought to their knees by the Night King and his army of the undead. I will bring forth my own forces. An army greater than any that even the Children's creation could dream of. When the time is right, I will destroy the King. Do what no one else has been able to do, and then take my rightful place as ruler of this world. I will make the mortals fear the night, not the winter. And only when it is too late, will they see that they were fighting the wrong enemy, all along." The queen hissed. As with a mere movement of her hand, the darkness of the forest draped itself around her. The shimmering gown as black as her heart.

"I can feel it, Azraphel. A way out. It calls to me. And I must obey. The Night King is not worthy of ruling this world. He is nothing more than a mortal man that was changed by a shard of dragonglass. He is weak, foolish and vulnerable. Too confident in his own abilities and powers to see his failings. I am the true evil in this world. Born of the darkness and shadows. Risen from the fiery womb of the earth itself. The daughter of chaos and pain. I will go to him as a friend. An ally. I will offer myself to him. He happily took me before. I cannot imagine that after all this time with only his White Walkers for company, he would be quick to turn me down. He knows full well what I can do. What I can give him. Then, when he least expects it, when he stands victorious over the mortals, he and his army will find that they are nothing more than ice and snow. And this land will cower in the dark before me and the murder. A worthy queen." The lady hummed menacingly as her plans began to form in her mind. The downfall of the Night King, and all that dare oppose her, becoming clear in her minds eye, as if they were already a sweet memory.

"Yet what if the mortals see you? If they realise who you are. They will try to stop you again. And this time they may do more than banish you. This time they may actually try to kill you........."

"Kill me?! It is impossible to rid the mortal heart completely of wickedness. They are all prone to sin. Vulnerable to their petty needs, desires and wants. They can never truly kill me. Evil in one shape or form will always exist. And I am the personification of that evil. And as we have already said, Azraphel, I am nothing more than myth. A story to put fear into the hearts of their children. They will not see me. Who amongst them would notice just another woman make her way in the world? Another face in the crowd. The only ones that will be able to see my true form are the Night King and his servants. Once I find them, they will take me straight to him. I will remind him of our previous bond. Offer to help him in his fight. Offer to help him bring a new Long Night to the world. For I know that is what he wants. He wants revenge and I can help give it to him. Then, the whole world will see me for what I truly am. They will grovel before my real form, and you and the others will be there to see our triumph. The murder will fly free, their wings blocking out any last vestige of light that may give the mortals hope." The queen replied. A small, wicked smile pulling at the corners of her lips as she looked up at the birds that flocked around her. Their caws breaking the silence of the eery woods.

"Now, I will need all your help to find the way out of here. The sooner I get to him, the better. Once I have ingratiate myself with him, he will look everywhere else for traitors, and forget all about me. Too busy to notice the real enemy is within." The queen announced. Azraphel and the swarm of crows following behind their queen in hopes that they could find a breach in the magic through which their monarch could escape.
