"Tyrion. How nice of you to grace us with your presence." Tywin hissed disdainfully, as he looked down at his youngest son. The little lion seeming not to hear a word that his father had said, as he continued to look at his cousin.

He was sure that time had only made her more beautiful. It was true that there was a sadness behind her perfect emerald, green eyes, that he had never seen in their youth. A sadness that he was sure, in part at least, was due to him. Yet there was something still quite exquisite in that sad look. A look that reminded him of the sadness that (Y/n) had been able to chase away from his heart, when they were young. It was a look that reminded him of how he would look at the world so differently, when she was at Casterly Rock. How the daytime sky seemed bluer. The night sky, deeper and darker. More set with diamond like stars, than when she was not there. How the Sunset Sea appeared greater, and wilder. How flowers were brighter and smelled sweeter. And he couldn't help but hope that, given some time, he would be able to chase away (Y/n)'s sadness, and allow her to see the world once more, as it had been when they were young.

"Is that all you have to say? After all this time all you can say, is, hello (Y/n)?" Tywin continued gruffly. The old lion having a feeling that his hopes may prove to be a little harder to bring to fruition, than he had previously thought.

"It is quite alright, Uncle Tywin. After all these years, I cannot blame my cousin for not knowing what to say. We are strangers now, he and I. Perhaps, in truth, Tyrion and I never really knew one another at all. But that said, it is still nice to see you again, Tyrion. I have heard that you have had quite an interesting life since we were last together at Casterly Rock. I must confess that my own life has been much less........colourful. Yet I do hope that while I am here, we may still find that we have something in common. That we may converse. If you so wish." (Y/n) interjected, as she leant down and kissed Tyrion softly on the cheek.

"Hello, Tyrion." She whispered softly, before she moved away. (Y/n) finding her arm taken by that of Cersei. Her form pulled away from the three lions and into the great castle.

"Now, cousin. You can talk to Tyrion at another time, if he can find his tongue that is. Although I am sure that he left in one of Baelish' girls the last time he went to the Street of Silk. But for now, we ladies have much to catch up on." Cersei chuckled. Her voice loud enough for her brothers and father to hear. Tywin cursing the stupidity and venom of his daughter. Tyrion just cursing himself.

"Why is it that my children are always such a disappointment?" The old lion questioned. The enquiry that required no answer, hanging heavily in the air, as he glared at Tyrion, before he made his way back to the Tower of the Hand.

"I am sure that everything will be alright, brother." Jaime said softly. Placing a reassuring hand on Tyrion's shoulder. The little lion doing his best to nod in agreement. Watching as Jaime too, left him behind.

"Well. That was interesting." Bronn sniffed. Tyrion forgetting all about the sellsword being behind him.

"Fa me, ya cousin just called ya, a lying, two faced little shit, that would fuck anything as long as it had two legs, and breasts. Pulse possibly optional. But what do I know? That could describe me. And let's face it, I ain't as book smart as you are. Perhaps I was reading it all wrong." Bronn sniffed again. The sellsword more than sure that he had read the situation quite right.

"Yes, thank you, Bronn. You are not helping." Tyrion replied, rolling his eyes as the sellsword snorted in amusement.

"I ain't here ta help in situations like this. Ya don't pay me enough ta deal with pissed off women. And that woman, is pissed. She might not say it, but she is pissed." Bronn remarked. The sellsword glad that the little lord's cousin wasn't angry at him.

"Well, I don't know about you. But I need a drink. Meetin ya extended family is just too much fa me." Bronn added, deciding that getting drunk sounded much more fun than standing in the now empty courtyard.

(Y/n) sighed, as she heard a knock at the door to her rooms. All afternoon, she had had to listen to Cersei go on and on about things. (Y/n) doing her best to nod and smile at the appropriate moments, despite the fact that she had really not been listening. In truth, she had not been able to think about much else, other than Tyrion. (Y/n) had not expected him to race out to greet her, as he had done when they were young. She had not really expected him to have much to say to her. But it would have been nice if he hadn't had to be forced by guards to come down from his chambers. Cersei, the bitter and twisted woman that she was, seeming to take great delight in telling her all about it.

"Come." (Y/n) called out reluctantly, as she continued to focus all her attention on taking a few important possessions from a small bag.

"(Y/n)?" A voice came. (Y/n) almost knocking over a glass, as she turned to see a sheepish looking Tyrion.

"Cousin. How can I help you?" (Y/n) enquired, as she turned back to look at her items.

"I.......I was hoping that we could speak for a few moments." Tyrion replied, as he made his way further into the room. Closing the door softly behind him.

"Of........of course. But I am afraid that I will have to change soon. Cersei has invited her to have dinner with her and the children. If the rumours are true, meeting Joffrey should be interesting." (Y/n) tried to chuckle in reply. The lioness having a sudden urge for a very large glass of wine.

"Will you join me in some wine? It has been a long day, and I still feel the dust from the roads in my throat." (Y/n) asked, as she made her way over to a silver tray that contained a full jug. Pouring Tyrion, a glass, before gesturing for him to join her.

"My father informed me of your marriage, and the unfortunate events that led to it being undone. I am sorry that you had to experience such a terrible thing, Tyrion. I can only imagine what it is like to lose someone that you love. To lose someone that you promised your life to." (Y/n) said, as she passed him the drink before taking a seat across from him.

"(Y/n). I can explain everything if you will just allow me. I.............."

"There is nothing to explain, cousin. It was a foolish, childish pledge. A hope on my part. I was not to know at the time, that it was all a lie on your behalf. That you had perhaps hoped that an oath to me, would result in you losing your virginity that night. But when I did realise the truth, I had already made a promise to the gods. A promise that it appears I will have to keep until the day I die. Though I cannot blame you for the choices that I have made. You are perfectly entitled to live and love as you see fit. One could not expect a man like you, to wait for a boring old maid like myself, when you have so many women vying for your attention. It is just a shame that these women probably wouldn't even look at you if you weren't a Lannister, with enough gold to keep his cock wet for several lifetimes. But what do I know? The closest thing I have ever come to love, is a kiss from a boy that would tell me crazy stories about Hagard, The great gobbler of flies and his wife, Enith, that lived in the stars with their sons. Now, as I said, Cersei has invited me to dinner. And we both know that your sister will not take kindly to me being late. So, perhaps we can find time to talk about much happier things another time. But for now, I must change." (Y/n) explained, as she got to her feet. The taste of blood filling her mouth as she bit deep into her lip, trying her best to force the tears back.

"I.........of course, (Y/n). Perhaps another time." Tyrion replied sadly, as he got down from his chair and made his way over to the door.

"Stinky and Smelly. Hagard and Enith's sons were called Stinky and Smelly." Tyrion added quietly, before leaving the room. (Y/n) dropping into her chair, as the tears finally escaped. The lioness sobbing unconsolably, as the pain of all those years could no longer be held back.
