Tyrion made his way up to the Tower of the Hand. The bannerman that his father had sent to get him, had given him some garbled nonsense about a large, bright bird staring at him. The little lion checking the colour of the bannerman's lips to see whether or not he had somehow managed to procure a vial of Shade of the Evening. Sure, that the guard must be hallucinating. Yet as he came to the door of his father's rooms, Tyrion stopped, the sound of screeching, squawking and whistling that seemed to be coming from the other side of the ingress, making him wonder if he was hallucinating himself. The sounds certainly not usual for anything that ever ventured into the capital. The cheery calls, in complete contrast to the all too familiar caws of the Ravens.

"Will you be quiet!" Tyrion heard his father suddenly bark. The little man doing his best to hold back the laugh that was bubbling up in his chest. Tyrion quite liking the idea that someone or something, seemed to be annoying his father.

"Queen (Y/n). Queen (Y/n). Pearl of the pearl." Came the sing song reply to his father's grumble. Tyrion's eyes growing wide, as he heard the name of the woman that he had been trying to discover more about, during the days that the storms had ravaged the land. The little lion now knowing that he had to see what was behind the door. He had to see the thing that spoke of the mythical queen.

"Father. You........." Tyrion began, as he pushed open the door. The little man taken aback, as his eyes fell on the creature that must surely be the source of the sounds. The bird turning to look at the visitor, before straightening a few of its feathers, and walking to the end of the large table.

"My lord." The bird said respectfully, before bowing slightly to the youngest Lannister.

"Good, you are here. Now, explain this." Tywin demanded, as he pointed at the vibrant envoy.

"I, er..........I don't know if I can." Tyrion replied still taken aback, as he made his way further into the room.

"Then what use are you? You can leave." Tywin huffed. Knowing that he should never have called on his son in the first place.

"Wait. The.......the bird mentioned a Queen (Y/n), did it not?"

"Queen (Y/n). Pearl of the pearl. Sends her regards." The bird agreed with a joyful squawk, at the mention of the lady's name. The envoy making its way back over to the bowl of fruit. Seeming to find that much more interesting than the two men that were currently looking at it.

"Then you do know something? Who is this Queen (Y/n) that this infernal creature won't shut up about?" Tywin demanded to know. The old lion now wishing that he had never been intrigued by the bird, and that he had had one of his guards shoot at the creature instead.

"Well.......I only know what I have been able to read over the past few days........" Tyrion began. Tywin scowling at his son, as he listened to him explain about the Pearl of the pearl.

                                                          >>-------------------------------<<

"Are you really expecting me to believe any this? That this....... this thing has been sent from a mythical land that lies beneath the waters, by a legendary Queen that was loved by The Warrior himself?" Tywin growled. The old lion sure, that despite the earliness of the hour, to come out with such drivel, his son must already be drunk.

"I never said that you were to believe it. You asked me what I knew of Queen (Y/n). Of the Pearl of the pearl. And I have told you what I know. Whether you believe any of it, is your decision, father." Tyrion replied with his own growl. The two lions glaring at one another across the table.

"WHAT IS IT?!" Tywin called out, as a frantic knock came to his door. A young bannerman pushing his way into the room. The guard gasping and panting as he almost fell into the room.

"WHAT?!" Tywin again demanded to know. The old lion not in the mood for any more foolishness for the day.

"R-r-ravens, mi.........milord." The guard spluttered out. His heart thumping violently in his chest, as the Lannisters and the envoy all turned to look at him.

"What about Ravens? There are always Ravens. Unless it is something import............."

"But there are hundreds of Ravens, milord. Ravens from all along the coast of the Summer Sea. From Lemonwood, Sunspear, Salt Shore and even Sun House. They all say the same thing milord..........." The bannerman interrupted, as he finally caught his breath.

"And what would that be?" Tywin enquired disdainfully. Not liking that the guard had had the nerve to interrupt him.

"Land, milord. That there is no longer the sea, but land. A large expanse of new land. The coast, no longer the coast." The man replied. He, along with anyone else that had seen the messages, finding it all as hard to believe, as the lord in front of him seemed to.

"What are you talking about? How can there be new land? How..........?"

"The Southern Lands." Tyrion said quietly, as he turned his gaze back to his father.

"If there is no longer sea, then there is only one possibility. The Southern Lands have been raised by the storms. The eighth kingdom has returned to the surface." Tyrion added. The little man not sure what other explanation there could be. Despite how impossible and implausible it sounded.

"Southern Lands. Queen (Y/n). Sends her regards." The feathered envoy once again explained. The creature flapping its wings and taking off to fly around the room.

"Come to Aurum. Come to the Pearl. Show you the way." The bird added, as it took a perch on one of the high ceiling beams.

"Well, Tyrion. If indeed your fabled Southern Lands have risen from the waters. And this annoying creature has been sent to escort someone to its capital. I would suggest that there is no other option than for us to send an envoy of our own. Someone that seems to know all about this eighth kingdom. Someone like you." Tywin explained. A cold thin smile creeping across his lips, as Tyrion grew wide eyed.

"Me?!"

"And who else would you suggest? There is no one else that I could possibly send. Unless there is another person that has read this same legend, then you are the only one to know anything about this Southern Land. About this queen. And you are a Lannister. So, who better to send?" Tywin added. The old lion quite liking the idea of sending his youngest son off on journey that, even if it turned out to be complete nonsense, would at least make it so that he didn't have him around the Red Keep for some time.

Tyrion knew quite well that his father had ulterior motives for wanting to send him. That Tywin was not doing this because he cared either about him, or a possible meeting with Queen (Y/n). Tyrion well aware that his father possibly even hoped that all this could result in him not only no longer being in the Keep, but perhaps being around at all. But he knew that he couldn't say no to his father's order. That if he did, Tywin would use it against him. So, it would appear that he, and Bronn of course, would be taking a little trip.

"Of course, father. I would be delighted. If anyone is to meet with Queen (Y/n), it should indeed be a Lannister. I will return to my rooms and pack for the journey." Tyrion smiled, as he got down from his chair, and made his way over to the door. The brightly coloured envoy, swooping down from its perch and coming to land on his shoulder.

"Good. Now, both of you can go." Tywin replied, as glad to see the back of the bird, as he was his son. Tyrion finding himself hoping, that the bird would indeed lead him to the Southern Lands, and to Queen (Y/n).
