"Why do I have to leave?" Brooke asked crossing her arms over her chest looking at Hank, who might she add couldn't even look her in the eye as he dropped the bomb.

Hank shakes his head looking out the balcony doors with an unreadable expression. Brooke watches him waiting for a response from him but he didn't say anything and just kept staring out the window.

"Your flight is tomorrow at six am."  Was all he said as he went to leave.

Brooke scoffed shaking her head. "Unbelievable. You can't even tell your own daughter why you can't spend the summer with her?"

Hank shook his head looking over towards his daughter his face scrunched up in anger as he shot a glare towards her. "You want to know why were sending you back Brooke? Do you?" He asked tilting his head to the side. "This summer was a mistake you're nothing but a spoiled bitch who doesn't care about nothing but herself! I've tried my best to show you that I love and care for you but you are so disrespectful and I can honestly say I'm happy I walked out of your life because you ended up just like your fucking mother a burden."

Brooke took a step back her heart dropping to her stomach as his words registered in her brain, tears forming in her eyes. Hanks face quickly switched from anger to regret once he fully processed what he shouted at his daughter as tears began to fall down her face.

"Brooke, I didn't mean it I was just-"

"Please, get out." Brooke whispered sitting down on the edge of the bed biting her lip.

Hank sighed before walking out of the room shutting the door behind him leaving Brooke alone.

Brooke cried for a couple more minutes just letting her heart cry out in pain before she started packing her bags. She thought the day she packed she would be happy and thrilled to go home but she wasn't instead she was more heartbroken if anything.

A knock on the door stops Brooke from her packing, her heart hammering in her chest as she heard his voice through the door.

"Brooke, can we talk?"

Another knock sounded but Brooke didn't say anything as she stared at the door more tears falling down her face as she kept hearing Xavier call out her name.

"Brooke?"

Another knock and no response.

Xavier sighs one last time before his footsteps were heard walking away and his bedroom door closing making Brooke cry harder as she fell to the floor clenching a shirt to her chest as she cried.

"This whole summer has been a mistake and Dianna and I have been giving it some thought and we think it's best if you go back to New York."

Those words kept repeating in Brooke's head as she sat on the edge of her bed staring out the open balcony doors looking at the California ocean view one last time before she got on her flight back to New York and never come back ever.

Brooke used to love the idea of moving to California once she was older and married she wanted to live close to the beach and wanted to know what it was like living somewhere that didn't experience snow but that dream was crushed by her experience this summer. Between Hank and Dianna trying to act like they didn't ruin Brooke's childhood and getting her heart broken by her summer fling, who just happened to be her step-brother, Brooke officially hated her life and wanted that pen where every click took a year off your life.
