It wasn't awkward like Brooke suspended when she went downstairs after everything that happened with Matrix this morning. Matrix was causally sitting on one of the barstools drinking milk from his bowl of cereal and Xavier was leaning against the counter shirtless wearing his sweats from yesterday with a cup of coffee in his hand.
"Would you like some coffee?" Xavier asked once she was closer to which she shook her head no.
If Brooke was being honest she didn't need coffee right now, she felt energized and didn't need something to wake her up. Maybe it was because she actually had a decent night of sleep for once since she came to California or maybe it was because she woke up out of embarrassment when Matrix walked in on Xavier and her kissing. Either way she was wide awake.
"So why did you rudely wake us up?" Brooke asked crossing her arms and shooting a glare at Matrix who raised his eyebrow at her in return.
"Excuse me, you two were actually already awake by the time I decided to give you all my presence." Matrix sassily states to which Brooke just rolled her eyes.
"Whatever, now will you inform us on where we're going?" She asks grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl and taking a huge bite on the side of it loving the juicy flavor that erupted on her tongue.
"Think of somewhere you've never been."
"Disneyland."
"Unfortunately, no."
"What? You've never been to Disneyland?" Xavier asked looking at her like she grew a second head.
Brooke nodded her head as she continued on chewing on the apple. "Nope, after Hank left my mom we kind of struggled and only got to go on vacation every other year but even then it was only to go visit my grandparents in New Jersey."
"Hmm interesting good to know."
Brooke smiled softly and turned her attention back to Matrix who was rinsing his bowl off in the sink before putting it into the empty dishwasher. He turns around with his hands on his hips and a smile on his face.
"Brooke my dear we are finally going to the murder museum!" Matrix said to which Brooke smiled.
One of the many things that Brooke and Matrix had in common was for their love of serial killers. They used to binge watch documentaries together and would even quiz each other. Every Thursday, Matrix would go over to Brookes house to watch the new episode of Murder Made Me Famous on Reelz tv. Every since they found out about the museum of death, they've always wanted to go and now that they are in the same state as it, there was no way in hell they could pass up their opportunity.
"Have you ever been?" Brooke asked Xavier who shook his head.
"Nah, but I am excited to experience with you. I know it's your passion and I want to see you do something that you enjoy for once."
Brooke smiled taking his hand in hers and giving it a squeeze, her heart feeling all warm and fluttery as his words processed in her mind.
Everything was happening so fast but so confusing at the same time. Not a second ago Xavier and her were hating each other because the other thought they were in a relationship and the other one was just being an idiot. Maybe they were both being idiots for doing whatever it was that they were doing but Brooke wasn't going to complain.
She liked being with Xavier. He made her smile and made her feel good in many ways than one. Yes, he was confusing as hell with his mix signals and his behaviors but when you put that all to the side and focus on different things he's really made her feel welcomed and has taken the time to make her feel welcomed and get to know her something that her own father wasn't doing.
"As cute as that little moment was," matrix said cutting into the intense staring contest between the two. "but I want to stop off at Starbucks and get me an iced coffee that I know I'll regret when I'm shitting bricks."
Brooke rolled her eyes and took another bite of her apple all awhile keeping eye contact with Xavier in the process.

"Lord have mercy I'm about to bust! That guy behind the counter was so hot." Matrix exclaimed flinging his plastic black bag over his shoulder that held the merchandise that he bought at the gift shop.
"He looked like he was a murder." Brooke said shaking her head thinking that the guy behind the counter was ugly as hell.
"I have to agree with Brooke, he looked like he would be one of those copycat killers." Xavier said to which Matrix rolled his eyes and put his Ray-ban sunglasses on.
"Whatever you two are just jealous that I would become famous for being murdered."
Brooke rolled her eyes with a smile. Leave it to Matrix to see the fame of being murdered.
"Are we doing anything else today?" Brooke asked crossing her arms and stepping to the side to let a man and his dog walk past.
Matrix doesn't respond for a second being too busy on his phone. Brooke shook her head and looked over at Xavier who was doing the same thing. His dark hair was a little bit lighter in the sun, the brown really showing as the rays hit into it. Brooke wanted nothing more than to run her hands through it.
"Well I'm going to go! You two have fun I'll see you later! Tootles." Matrix said putting his phone into his back pocket and walking off leaving Xavier and Brooke standing alone on the street.
"He does realize we have the car, right?" Brooke asked looking over towards Xavier who now was giving him her attention.
Xavier shrugged his shoulders taking a step closer and wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer.
"I'd assume so but I'm not complaining, I want to go home and spend some time with you before everybody comes back." He says kissing the top of her head making butterflies to flutter in her stomach.
Brooke wraps her arms around his neck and sighs as she takes on his scent. Her eyes closed as she enjoyed being in his embrace. She wasn't sure what she wanted with Xavier or what exactly he wanted from her but she wasn't going to voice out her opinion or anything for that matter because she didn't want it to end. Not now at least.
"Why don't we go back and watch a movie." Brooke suggested to which Xavier nods his head at and takes a hold of her hand as they start walking down the street towards the back parking lot where they parked the car.
When they get inside the car, Brooke instantly turns on the AC and sighs when the cold air hits her like a ton of bricks. It was hotter than hell.
"What are you doing tomorrow?" Xavier asked five minutes into the drive back to the house.
"I was probably going to just stay home and practice my cello, what about you?"
Xavier shrugged his shoulders shooting a side smile. "Hopefully going out with you?"
Brooke raised an eyebrow at him causing him to laugh. "Brooke, will you go out with me tomorrow?"
Brooke pursed her lips in thought before breaking out in a smile. "I'd love to."
