Brooke didn't want to go down for dinner, not after what happened in the hallway two hours ago. She was beyond embarrassed and afraid that Liam was going to rat her out and tell everyone that she was being a creep and watching his brother play the guitar.
Brooke normally never got embarrassed but the thought of Liam informing Xavier that she was indeed watching him sing made her all embarrassed. She didn't want anybody thinking she was a creep, it would just make her time here more horrible than it already was. She already hated being here she didn't want to have another reason.
She could live with hating Hank and not wanting to be around him, but Xavier was around her age and if she wanted to know where everyone hung out, she didn't want him to think she was a creep and keep her away from all the parties.
Sighing, Brooke takes her mind out of the clouds and looks down at her laptop screen and shakes her head. It was almost eight and they claimed they ordered pizza thirty minutes ago, does it really take that long for a pizza to be delivered or were they so used to not having Brooke here that they completely forgot that she was here and didn't bother to invite her down?
No, they wouldn't do that. Ciara would have probably informed them or she would have came racing up into her room like she did when they got back from the beach.
Smiling at the thought of Ciara, Brooke stands up from her bed shutting her music off and walks out of her room and down the hall towards Ciara's room was.
Ciara's room was too cute, with pink and purple walls and the whole room decorated like a princess's room, Brooke could instantly tell that she was being spoiled.
"Ciara, you in here?" Brooke calls out knocking on the white door that had her name on it in cursive and a pink crown on top of the 'C'.
"I'm here!" Ciara giggles running towards the door wearing a princess Tiana dress, her brown curls pulled back in a bun.
"Don't you look beautiful." Brooke smiles as Ciara does a little twirl and strikes a pose and blows a kiss.
"Thanks! Xavvy did my hair! Do you like?"
Brooke furrow my eyebrows before realizing that she was talking about Xavier and smiled. She bends down and takes Ciara's outstretched hands and inspected her before nodding her head in approval.
"I think you look just as beautiful as Princess Tiana."
Ciara smiles with a blush and looks down at her green dress. "Good, will you walk with me to dinner? Xavier always says a Princess should always be escorted."
"Well he's right you know," Brooke replied straightening up and holding her hand out. "Should we go Princess Ciara?"
Ciara giggles and puts her hand in Brooke's nodding her head. "We shall."
Brooke allows Ciara to drag her towards the kitchen area, listening carefully to Ciara as she talked about how Xavier would watch all the Disney movies with her whether it was a princess movie or not and would sing along with her but only the boys part because that's the only part he could see according to Ciara.
"One time we were watching Tangled and he sang Flyn Riders part and he called me Rapunzel!" Ciara says once they enter the kitchen causing everyone to look over at them.
Brooke smiles down at that and holds out the chair that had Ciara's pink princess booster seat. "He sounds like a good brother," She says after pushing her in.
"Yep!" She exclaims nodding her head.
Brooke avoids looking up at the rest of the people at the table and kept her focus on Ciara. She was still a little embarrassed and didn't want to meet the piercing gazes of everyone just this moment.
She could already feel her cheeks already warming up at the thought of being laughed at by Xavier and that wasn't something that she wanted to endure while eating. She didn't want to lose her appetite.
The sound of Hank clearing his throat is heard and Brooke is forced to tear her gaze away from Ciara who was happily shoving food into her mouth and over towards him who had a tight forceful smile.
"Brooklyn, I'd like you to meet your brothers, Xavier and Liam."
Brooke flinches at the sound of her full name but tears her eyes away from Hank and over to the two boys who were already looking at her. Liam has a smile on his face while Xavier just stared at her with a confused look before looking down at his tacos.
"Hello," Brooke replied with a soft smile giving them a small wave.
"I like you tattoo." Liam speaks causing Xavier to look up from his taco and stare at Brooke with a curious look.
"Tattoo?" Xavier and Hank say both at the same time except Hank's voice was laced more with anger rather than amusement like Xavier's.
Brooke looked down at the side of her wrist where the tattoo was and showed them the tattoo that she got last year on her sixteenth birthday.
"Yeah, mom allowed me to get one for my birthday."
Hank rolls his eyes. "Of course she allowed you to get a tattoo at sixteen."
Brooke tolled her eyes and took a bite out of her taco. "It's not like you were there to voice your opinion."
The table went silent at that as Hank stared at his daughter with an angry glint in his eyes, his jaw clenched.
Brooke could honestly careless that she angered Hank. He had no right to get angry over the fact that she got a tattoo. He wasn't apart of her life until now meaning that he had no say on how she acts or what she did with her body. That was between her and her mother.
He had his chance to be her father it wasn't her fault that he walked out.
"Well I think it's cool." Xavier said cutting the awkward tension sending her a smile. "Is there a reason why you chose the cello?"
Brooke took a glance at her tattoo before shooting Xavier a smile. "Yeah, the cello was the only gift Hank gave to me before leaving."
Dianna sucked in a breath as she shoots her husband a look but Hank didn't care. He was seeing red as he looked at his daughter with a red face.
Liam and Xavier stared at Brooke with amusement as she stands up from her seat and shoots Dianna a smile.
"Dinner was amazing, but if you'll excuse me I'm going to go call my mother."
Dianna just nods her head and Brooke shoots the boys one last smile before walking out of the dinning room.
Once she was out of the room, Xavier looks down at Liam and nods his head.
"You weren't lying when you said she was hot." He whispered before continuing to eat his taco.
Hank shakes his head and looks down at his plate with a glare, thoughts of regret of inviting his daughter for the summer.
