The ring

Shane Pov

I woke up in a pile  of sweat , I had had a nightmare where Lisa got into a car accident and it had realy freaked me out. I looked over on my left expecting to see her pretty sleepy face ,  but just remembered that she had gone out with her friends and would only be back tomorrow. Her side was neatly ruffled , and she had stuffed her pyjama under her pillow which  left a little bump. Falling asleep again would be hard , I was used to having her by my side to comfort me and then cuddle. All I had now was the growing silent that  made me uneasy  , even Corny was asleep to make things worse!  I pulled the covers over me and starting hugging her pillow who smelled just like her. Even thought it was just a pillow, it still made me feel  somehow  better . Rolling myself in the covers I tried my best to fall asleep , but it was useless , maybe the cheese covered  nachos before bed wasn't the best idea...   My thinking mind always seem to be very active during the night , and tonight was expecially one of those nights. My thoughts ranged from  thought on what is the "meaning of life ?" "What is the purpose of me being on earth  ?"  To "Did Corny take her daily shit today ?" They were particular thoughts . After at least 2 hours of randomly thinking,  my mind finally decided to shut down . (I had  dream I had gone down to earth to clean up Corny shit )

"Shane are you awake "?  Lisa's  tired voice arose me from my sleeping state
Lifting my head from the pillow I murmured "now I am "
I heard keys drop on the table and her taking of her jacket , then she came marching in our room awkwardly and sat down on the foot of the bed .
"How was it" I questioned her , letting go of the pillow I had still tightly pressed against me .
"Actually pretty awesome " she said staring at the wall "but I feel like shit now "
I grabbed her hand and twirled my fingers around them one of my favorite things to do "That's a hangover for you my dear "
She laughed "it's been a long time since I've had one actually " she collapse next to me on the bed , landing perfectly next to me .
"Can we cuddle for  bit I have a realy bad headache and I feel like ass?" She asked rubbing her head against my neck .
"It would be my pleasure actually " I said fondling with her golden hair
"Love you"
"Love u too Lisa"
"Shane can I ask you a question "? She uttered sqeazing herself closer to me
"Yeah?" I pulled my arm around her and let her lie her head on my shoulder
She closed her blue eyes "Promise me , that we will, always say together no matter what happened "
I smiled "Why wouldn't we"? , "what are you scared of"?
"Things happen sometimes Shane but" , she snatched my hand which was lying imobile on her stomach "Nothing can break us apart right ?"
"Right" I responded back
"Maybe right can be our always " I said giggling
"Oh shut up " She said pecking my lips to stop me from saying anything else "you ruined the moment !" 
"Couldn't help it sorry " I said attacking her with an  other caress of my lips on her neck
"Oh and Shane "?  She whispered
"Yep"
"Do you think I gained weight "?
I rubbed my hand against her belly, surprisingly it felt as if she did , it was probably the dress....
Of course I didn't tell her "Nope Lisa still skinner then me "
"Okay if you say so " She opened her eyes and then closed them again  and next thing you know she fell asleep her head on my shoulder .

I woke up at 4:00 because of Drew texting me , I had completely forgot on how we had to go ring shopping at 3:30.

Drew: Where the hell are you
Me: Fuck sorry fell asleep
Drew: Well get your ass  over here or else I'm leaving and u have no help to decide the ring
Me: I'll be there in 15 mins srry
Drew: Well hurry your tities
Me: okay srry
Me: srry

I hated being late ! Quickly I wrote Lisa a note , about how I was going out with Drew and stiked it on our kitchen table , next to a bowl of fruits . (We tried to be healthy in this house) I grabbed the keys and zoomed out the house . Outside I  jumped in my BMW,  put the keys in the ignition and drove full speed to the shopping mall almost craching into old woman (3) , pigeons (5) , dog (2) , cat (1). The mall was situated about 10 minutes away without traffic , but what's LA without traffic !?
Arriving there 20 mins later I parked my car , stuffed my wallet in my pocket an ran towards the mall. While running as fast as my legs could take me  towards the mall I mentally prayed that know one would recognize me because I looked like a complete mess. I checked the time
4:45
Fuck Fuck

Me: Where are you
Drew: The ring place hurry up
Me: k I'm coming
Drew: hurry I have to leave at 5:15
Me: Shit
Drew: Just hurry up I'm already found pretty nice one

I ran down the mall to the ring place , where Drew was was waiting for me an patiently .
"Sorry , I'm late"
"You already said that like 10 times " he said crossing his arms across his chess
"I know but will you forgive me "?
"That's what wingman are for"
"Not realy .... but thank you " I said gleaming at him m and giving him a man hug .
"No problem " he answered "follow me , I found a pretty cool one "
Obeying him I followed him into the the store where I was welcome by a clerk. Before he could muster a word Drew cut in
"He's with me Francesco "
The clerk nodded his little round body and walked back behind the counter .
"You know him ?"
"He's my new best friend I made friends with him while you were sleeping " Drew snapped
"Got it"
Drew led me to the counter where thousands of rings were situated , big ones , small ones , gold ones , bronze ones , silver ones and many different colours .
"I was thinking about this one " Drew said pointing to a small silver one  with a diamond on top.
"How about this one" , I asked pointing to a particular golden one
"Excuse me "? Someone murmured
"No , to simple "!
"Excuse me "
I lifted my head form the glass , and looked around to who the voice belonged to.  It turns out it was Francesco .
Francesco seemed to be an old round Italian man , with a curly mustaches,  and a thick Italian  accent .
He pulled a black box from light blue sack  hidden behind the counter and opened it .
"How does ring look ? "
Inside the box was a gold ring with little silver jems decorating the side ,in the front stood a alluring silver diamond which seemed to shine against the light . It was actually breath-taking .
The ring was so beautiful yet so casual , it represented Lisa perfectly .
"It's stunning " I said still in awe to Francesco
"You can have it "
"For how much tho ?"
"Free" he said obviously , "young handsome man like you deserves it"
"I can't just take it , it's worth at least 7000$" I said shaking my head "here take it back and give it to someone who deserves it more please " I told him a bit disappointed
In an amazement Francesco spoke "it it is truly rare such a kind soul like you , your lady must be very lucky "
"I'm as lucky as her don't worry " I stammered still in incredulous  of the man's offer.
I handed back to him the ring .
"Please take it , I'll have it for 5000$ then " he said
"Deal " I hollered a little bit too loud
I still caught a glimpse of let down in his eyes when I handed him my credit card and a few bills . Maybe I should have took it free for the old man sake . But I was still very satisfied of the deal.
Francesco handed me back my ring , and looked right at me and said in an almost sad tone "please take good care of it " as he handed it to me .
"I promise " I replied
As he looked at me as I left I had  feeling that he realy trusted me and hoped that I would take good care of it , because it had not had  the best of luck in the past .....

concentrate on school ......
