I thought I was invincible

Chapter 3

It's Friday. The last day of school. Liz's party is tonight and I'm really excited but also worried about going to the beach tomorrow. So I decided that I would forget about whatever it is that Nash has to tell me. I wanted to have fun tonight and at the beach tomorrow and what he has to tell me may not even be bad so I won't stress about it.

It's fifth period and I'm in Home ec. and all anyone is talking about is Liz's party. Skylar is coming over after school so we can get ready together.
After school, we drove to starbucks and then to my place.
"What are you wearing to the party?" I asked Skylar when we were in my room.
"That outfit I wore to Hanna's bonfire"
"I like that outfit" I said
She went to go change into jean shorts and her favorite purple crop top. I put on black jean shorts. and a pink tank top.
"That's really cute" she said
"Thanks"
Skylar and I touches up our makeup and did our hair. Sky straightened her hair and I just left my as it was, since I curled it that morning. The party started at 9:00, so we left at 8:30 to pick up Cam.

(Group chat)

Cameron: are you guys on your way?

Nicolette: yeah, were leaving now

Cameron: alright, Nash is already there

Skylar: he is? Why?

Cameron: Liz wanted him to help her move some stuff for the party.

Nicolette: why'd she ask him?

Cameron: well she asked me and Josh but I didn't have a ride so she asked Nash and Josh instead.

Nicolette: oh

Cameron is typing...

Skylar: we're here

Cameron: coming

Cam ran outside and hopped in the back of my car. "hey guys" he said
"Let's go" Skylar said
I turned on the car and we drove to the party.

We got there ten minutes early but there were still a lot of people already there.
"I'm gonna go around back and see tyler" cam said when we got out of the car. Tyler is Liz's older brother, he's a senior but Cameron and him play basketball at the rec. together so they Hangout some times.
"Okay" I said as he ran off.
Skylar and I walked in the house and I saw Nash talking to Liz, with his back to me. She looked sad, which was weird because she was really excited for her party. "Nicolette! Skyler!" She perked up when he said that.
"Hey guys" Nash said, walking towards us.
He kissed me.
Skylar started talking to Liz and Nash and I went upstairs to see what's going on up there. We walked in to Liz's bedroom and some people were playing spin the bottle.
"Should we join?" Nash joked.
"Very funny" I said as I kissed him
We sat on the bed and watched the game to see who would kiss who.
And then I texted Skylar, so she could come play, maybe she'd even get to kiss cameron.

Nicolette: hey, come up to Liz's room

Skylar: why?

Nicolette: spin the bottle, and cams playing

Skylar: I'll be right there!

Skylar: who else is playing?

Nicole: uh. Cam, Sofia, Aaron, Mason, Hanna, Mckayla, and James.

Sofia and Mckayla are our friends from cheer, and James is friends with Aaron.

Skylar walked in and at in the bed next to me.

"Do you wanna play?" Hanna asked Skylar. She nodded and sat next to Hanna on the floor.
"Ok, it's my turn" Aaron said. he spun the bottle and it landed on Sofia.
"Ooooo" everyone said. they kissed and Hannah looked a little disappointed because she's had a crush on him for a couple of years. Then James and Mckayla kissed, Hanna and Mason, Skylar and james, cam and Mckayla. Then it was Hanna's turn again, she spun the bottle and it landed right in between Aaron and Sofia. So obviously everyone agreed that she should kiss Aaron's and so they did and while the next person was going and everyone was focused on them, Hanna couldn't stop smiling. It was so cute. the it was Cameron's turn and the bottle spun and spun and finally it landed on Skylar. this was it, i thought. this is when they finally kiss. He leaned in and their lips touched. Someone came in yelling about some fight downstairs and they pulled apart, everyone ran down. cam, skylar, nash, and I walked down after everyone else did. We saw Tyler laying on the ground, his lip was bleeding, someone helped the other guy off of the grass. "Liz!" I screamed
we all ran to Tyler, "are you alright?" I asked
"Im fine" he said softly
Cam and Nash helped him up and in to the house. Liz ran outside "what happened Tyler?!" "Just a little fight, I'm okay" she sighed and we all went to the kitchen. We cleaned up Tyler and he went to his room with one of his friends. Liz went to flirt with some guys in the basement and Skylar and I went to the living room where some people were hanging out. We talked for awhile but it got really late so Skylar and I left, Nash said that he would give cam a ride when he leaves. Skylar and I didn't get home until like 3 am, so when we were laying in bed I texted Nash to see if he was still at the party.

Nicolette: are you still at the party?

Nash: no, we just left

Nicolette: okay, get home safe

Nash: I will, sleep tight, I love you

Nicolette: I love you.

"I'm worried about tomorrow" I said to Skylar
"It'll be okay"
"Are you sure?"
"No, but no matter what I'll always be here for you"
"Thanks Sky" I said
She smiled "goodnight nicolette"
"Night skylar"
I turned off the light and we went to sleep.
