I thought I was invincible

Chapter 4

I woke up and Skylar was still sleeping, so I threw a pillow at her. it woke her up but she wasn't mad, he threw a pillow back at me. "hey did cam ever send you that video?" I asked.
"No, he said he wouldn't"
"Oh okay"
"What time is it?" she asked
"12:45"
"What time are you meeting Nash?"
"2:00"
Skylar helped me pick out my outfit/swimsuit for the beach. We ate after I got ready and then I dropped Skylar off at her place an drove to the beach. It took about 45 minutes but I stopped mid way to get starbucks, of course. I got there just before 2, and Nash was already there. I walked down to the shore. He didn't see me coming, he was facing the ocean. Set down my bag and quietly cam up behind him. I wrapped my arms around his stomach, he turned and we kissed. "hey" he said. . Ran backwards in to the water and splashed him. we both laughed and splashed eachother. We Swam and kissed, and had fun. It was great until we got out of the water. We dried off, I got my bag, and then we walked on the pier. "Nash" I grabbed his arm and we stopped. "yeah?" He said kindly
"I can't take it anymore, tell me" I begged
He sighed "alright" he said softly.
"My mom got a new job in Spokane, We're moving there"
I started breathing deeper and deeper and a tear rolled down my cheek.
"But- wha- why?- can't you- I-I" I started hyperventilating and I couldn't breath.
Nash pulled me close and kissed my forehead. "Calm down, Nicolette, I'm right here" I started really crying.
"Hey, it'll be okay" he wiped away my tears.
"No it wont" I said "Washington is on the other side of the country"

"I know" he said
"And I'm gonna miss North Carolina, and our beaches, and our friends, and I'm going to miss you most of all" he sounded sorry, like he wish he could do something about it. But he couldn't and we both knew it.
"What are we gonna do?" I asked
"We can skype and text and visit each other"

"Nash, we both know that long distance relationships never work"

"What are you saying?"

"I think we need to break up" the words barely came out if my mouth

A tear rolled down his face
"I know your right, but I love you so much"

"I love you too" I said
We hugged again.

I continued crying
"Let me walk you to your car" he put his hand on my back as I turned around.
"no" I said "I cant"
I walked away without looking back at him. I was so upset, I couldn't go home and I knew Skylar was at dance so I went to Cameron's. I pulled into my driveway and then crossed my yard to his house. I knocked on the door. Cam opened the door and stepped outside "Nicolette" he said softly as he hugged me.
