I thought I was invincible

Chapter 9

It was Nash. Hanna looked at my phone and then looked at me "answer it" she said calmly. i picked up the phone and slide the green arrow to answer it.
"Hello?" I said
"Nicolette" he said nicely
"Hey Nash"
"How are you?" He asked
"I'm good, what about you?"
"I'm fine. I miss you"
"I miss you too"
"Sorry I havnt called, I've been so busy"
"It's alright" I said
"How's Spokane?" I asked
"It's great here, all it needs is you"
I looked at Hanna, who was listening, with a worried look on my face.
I stayed quiet until he spoke again
"How are things there? How is everyone?"
"Great! Hanna and Aaron started dating today"
"Really? That's awesome! I bet Hanna's happy"
"Oh she is" we both laughed.
Hanna rolled her eyes.
"What about Cam and Skylar?" He asked.
I froze. What do I say? I mouthed those words to Hanna. "say she likes someone else" Hanna said in a whisper. I nodded.
"Skylar dosent really like him anymore" I lied
"Really?! How come??"
"She likes someone else"
"Who??"
"Uh he doesn't go to our school, we met him at the mall"
"Oh" Nash said "does Cam still like her?"
"No... he's moved on too" I said. I felt guilty about lying to Nash but I had to. It would hurt him too much if I told him that Cam had moved on to me.
"Okay well it was good catching up" he said
"Yeah" I agreed
"Okay well-" he cut me off
"Nicolette?"
"Yeah?"
"Have, have you moved on?"
I froze again. Hanna looked at me and kept whispering "say no, say no!"
"no" I finally said
"Have you?"
"How could I? Your the only girl I'll ever love" my heart dropped. I feel terrible now.
"Well I have to go" he said
"See ya" I hung up the phone.
I flopped down on my bed.
"I'm a horrible person" I said to Hanna
"No your not, he's thousands of miles away and did it ever occur to you that maybe you never loved him as much as he loved you?"
"I guess not, maybe your right"
"Of course I am" she laughed.
I rolled my eyes at her and she laughed again.
"You don't have to tell him" she said
"I know" I said

We watched some more Netflix and then went to sleep.

I woke up early to get ready for my brunch date with Cameron. Hanna was still sleeping but I got dressed in a pretty colorful dress and white sandals. Hanna woke up while I was doing my hair. "hey" she said
"That dress is pretty, are you getting ready for your date?"
"Yeah" I said.
Hanna got up and got dressed and helped me do my makeup. And then I dropped her off at Aaron's house and I went to the cafe where I was meeting Cam. When I got there, Cam was sitting at a table waiting for me. When I approached him, he stood up and handed me a white rose, my favorite. I kissed him. "thank you" I said
He smiled and pulled the seat out for me. I sat down and picked up a menu.
After a while, we both got our food and started eating. The food was good and when we were done Cam said "I have a surprise for you" he said.
