I thought I was invincible

Chapter 19

Mackenzie was released from the hospital four days after That day when Cam told me that she wanted to die. The doctors wanted Mackenzie to stay in the hospital because they thought she was depressed but her mom wanted to take her home. Her mom hid all of the knives, scissors, and pills (just in case). Cam said that she was doing better but she still seemed depressed. They put her on anti depressants so that she wouldn't try anything again. Cams dad just got back in to town from a business trip. He thanked me for saving Mackenzie, but I'm honestly not sure if I saved her.
Cam said that since she's not in the hospital anymore, he doesn't have to stay at her side 24/7, which is good because after all of that chaos, I really need to spend some quality time with Cam.

Skylar's coming over to help me get ready for my date with Cam tonight, were going out to eat and to a movie. Cam said he wanted to do something special since we haven't been out on a real date in quite awhile.
I was sitting on my bed when I heard a knock at the door, it was Skylar.
"Hey!" She said when I opened the door
"Hey" I replied.
"Do you know what your wearing yet?"
"I have no idea"
"Great!" She yelled as she ran in to my room. I followed behind her and saw her rummaging through my closet to find something for me to wear.
"Can I borrow your phone real quick? mines charging" I asked Skylar.
"nope" she said
"Why?"
"I lost it"
"Really?"
"Yeah last night at this party"
"Who's party?"
"Andrews remember? You and Cam were invited but you wanted to spend time with Mackenzie"
"Oh yeah"
"I told my mom and she said I have to wait to get a new phone until I can get a free upgrade"
"Well when's that?"
"A month"
"That sucks"
"I know right"
Skylar helped me finish getting ready and then she left right before Cam got to my house. He rang the doorbell. I looked in my body mirror to make sure I looked okay. I fixed my hair and then opened the door. Cameron was standing there with a White Rose (my favorite flower) in his hand. He held out his hand and I took it. He pulled me in for a kiss and then handed me the rose.
"I love you" I said
"I love you more" he said
I gave him another kiss and then shut the door.
"Ready?" He asked
I nodded and then we left.
We went to eat first, at Olive Garden.

"How's Mackenzie?" I asked when our food arrived.
"Better" he said
"That's good"
He nodded.
"I've missed hanging out like this, you know just us" he said
"Me too"
"Can you believe Hanna went to Andrews party after what happened?"
"She did?"
"Yeah"
"Did Andrew invite her?"
"No I think she just showed up"
"How do you know she was there?"
"Andrew told me. He said that she didn't stay long and she didn't talk to him or anyone really, that he saw"
"Wow, what do you think she was doing there?"
"I don't know maybe she wanted to talk to Andrew but decided not to or maybe she thought we'd be there and she wanted to get back at us at the party, in front of all those people"
"Maybe" I said

After dinner we headed to the movies. We saw this Romantic Comedy, which surprisingly was Cams choice. Cam actually liked Romantic Movies, he always said that the couples in them reminded him of us, of how we're so perfect together.
When the movie started, Cam lifted the arm rest that was in between us and held my hand. I scooted closer to him and laid my head on his shoulder. He kissed my forehead and whispered "I love you, Nicolette"
I looked at him and kissed his cheek "I love you more"

(Switching to Narrators POV)
Cameron just dropped Nicolette off at her house. He came home, took a shower and then when he was about to go to sleep he got a text from Skylar.

Skylar: Are you awake?

Cameron: yeah, what's up?

Skylar: I have to tell you something but I don't want you to be mad

Cameron: just tell me

Skylar: it's about Nicolette

Cameron: what about Nicolette?

Skylar: Well she knows that you and Mackenzie are really close and she knew that Mackenzie was all depressed and stuff so she made her cut herself that day and then call Nicolette so that she could 'save' her so that you would be mad at Kenzie and thankful of Nicolette

Cameron turned off his phone and then closed his eyes.
