I thought I was invincible

Chapter 13

The next day I called Aaron to see if he had talked to Hanna yet.
"Have you talked to Hanna?" I asked
"Yeah, it's official, we're over"
"I'm sorry"
"It's alright, we both decided that we'd be better of as friends anyway"
"Did she say anything about Nash?"
"Yeah, she said that she called him but she didn't tell about you and Cam"
I sighed in relief
"She didn't?"
"Nope, your safe"
"Thanks for asking her but I gotta go, I'm meeting came soon"
"Okay, bye"
"Bye"
I hung up the phone and then jumped in to the shower. After that, I got dressed, brushed my hair, and put on my makeup.
Then I grabbed my phone and my bag and got in my car. I still had an hour before I had to meet Cam so I went to Hanna's.
*knock, knock*
Hanna opened the door and she looked surprisingly happy to see me.
"Hi!" she said
"Hey"
"Come in, come in"
I began to speak but she started rambling.
"Nicolette, I'm so sorry for everything, for what I said, for what I did, and just so you know I didn't tell Nash. I would never do that to you. And you were right to tell Aaron I would have done the same thing if it was you, but I know that you would never do something like that. Because your a good person and a good friend, Nicolette, and I'm not." she looked down. I put my hand on her shoulder
"Don't do that to yourself, your a great person, and the best friend in the world"
I pulled her in for a hug
And then she pulled apart.
"Thanks but how could I do that to Aaron? I don't know what came over me, and now I've ruined things with him"
"It's okay, he forgives you, he's not mad"
"He's not?"
I shook my head "I talked to him this morning, he said that you guys worked everything out, that you wanted to stay friends?"
"I only said that so we wouldn't be enemies, I didn't want him to despise me forever"
"Well he won't, he doesn't"
She gave me a hug and thanked me again. Then I went to meet Cam at his place.
We sat on the couch and talked for awhile. I told him everything that had happened with Hanna and Aaron, and that she almost told Nash.
"You did the right thing"
I shook my head
"I know but I still feel like I betrayed her"
He put his hand on my knee
"You didn't, you would never do that"
He have me a kiss and then asked, "Does Kennedy know? Does Andrew know that Aaron knows?"
"I told Andrew that I told Aaron and that he wasn't mad. And Andrew said that he told Kennedy and she wasn't mad because he pulled away, she knew it wasn't his fault"
"That's good" Cam said
I nodded. We talked for a little longer....and kissed....and then around 6, we went out to eat. We went to Max & Erma's and after we ate we went to the sundae bar like when we were kids. It was really fun, I missed hanging out with Cam. We were walking out of the restaurant and we saw Skylar and Hanna, laughing and talking.
"Hey guys!" I said
"Hey!" Sky said
"hi" Hanna said
Cam smiled and then spoke "What are guys up to?"
"Not much we saw a movie, went shopping, and-" Skylar stopped talking when Hanna started "we should go"
Skylar nodded and then they walked inside.
"Was that weird?" I asked Cam when we got in his car
"Very" he said.
"It seemed like Hanna was mad? But you just talked to her today, right?"
I nodded.
"But what if she lied?" I said
"Lied? About forgiving you?"
"Yeah, what if she just pretended to not be mad so she could get back at me without me expecting it?"
"It's possible" he said
"But what about Skylar?" He asked
"What do you mean?" I asked
"Well she didn't seem mad but when Hanna looked at her, she stopped talking"
"Oh yeah. Well maybe Hanna told her what I did and then she just expected Skylar to take sides"
"Good theory" he said
"You'll make an excellent detective" he added
"I know"
We both laughed. We talked more about Hanna and Skylar and whether or not they were really mad at me. Cam drove us to my house and then we watched a movie inside. The movie ended sometime after 1 and we fell asleep on my couch.
The next morning I woke up to the door bell *ding dong*. I got up, but I was careful not to wake Cam. He's so cute when he's sleeping. I walked upstairs from the basement and to the front door. I looked through the peephole and standing there was Skylar.
