I thought I was invincible

Chapter 34

It's the first day of school. Cam still hasn't asked me to homecoming but it's not until Friday. Josh asked Skylar and she accepted. Kyle asked Hanna this morning. Andrew and Kennedy are going together, obviously. Liz is going with Aaron and Kelsey is going with her friend Nick.
I just finished getting ready for school.
*ding-dong*
It's Cameron.
"Hey, you ready?"
"Yeah, are we taking your car or mine?"
"Um, yours"
"Okay, let's go" I smile

It's 4th period, lunch. Cam and I are sitting with Skylar and Josh.
"So you see Nash?" I asked Cam
"He's coming in" Cam said, looking towards the door. Skylar and Josh got up to go buy their lunch. Nash walked over to Cam and I and sat across from me.
"hey" Nash said
"What do you want, Nash?" Cam asked angrily
"I wanna sit with you guys"
"Well you cant" I said
"C'mon, you know you want me to" he said with a smirk
"Nash" Cam raised his voice
"Okay, okay" Nash Put his hands up in surrender "calm down" he said, walking away.
Josh and Skylar came and sat across from Cam and I.
"What was that about?" Josh asked
"Just Nash being an idiot" Cam said.
Skylar laughed a little.
"Maybe you were right" Cam whispered to me. I looked at him with a confused look on my face.
"About Nash" he said "it'll be harder than I thought having him here. I don't like the way he talks to you"
"I don't like him talking to me, period." I said.

After lunch, I had math, and then health with Cam, Kelsey, and Nash. Nash was being a jerk, of course.
So our teacher was talking to us about sex Ed. and as you could probably guess, it went downhill from there. Cam was sitting next to me on one side, and Kelsey was on my other side. Nash was sitting behind me.
"Sex should only be done with the right partner for you. You should both be physically and emotionally prepared for what may happen" the teacher said
Nash nudged my back. so turned around to look at him and he said "you look physically prepared. What do you say Nicolette?" He had a smirk on his face. Cam stood up and walked towards Nash, he was angry.
"Mr. Dallas, sit down. And Mr. Grier, not another word from you"
Cam sat down, Nash nodded while laughing.
"As I was saying" the teacher continued "when you do decide to have sex, you must be safe. Girls, you should be on the pill for at least a month before intercourse, and boys you must use condoms"
"Hey Nicolette, how long have you been on the pill?" Nash started "or better yet, how about we don't use anything?" He continued. I covered my face. It was so embarrassing. I looked up and Cam had gotten up, and walked over to Nash's desk. Nash stood up. "What are you looking at?" Nash said to Cam
"Nothing" Cam said as he pushed Nash against the wall. Nash tried to push him off but Cam was stronger than Nash was. Nash tried to hit Cam but he ducked, and then punched Nash right in the face. The teacher was yelling at them but they ignored him.
Nash fell to the ground. Cam was walking back to his desk when Nash got up and punched him, Then Cam fell to the ground. The teacher ran out of the room to get help, I ran over to Cam.
"Are you okay?" I asked
"I'm fine" he said, sitting up. We stood up. Nash pulled me into a hug and I tried to get out of it but then Cam punched him again so he'd let go. Then the school security guards came in and took Cam and Nash to the office. The rest of class was dead silent.

Last period was study hall...with Nash. I thought that me might not be in there since he got in trouble, but he was. He was at the table across from me but we were facing opposite directions, so I had to look straight at him. Thank god we had to stay in our assigned seats or he would have come over to me..more than he did. He came over twice before he got yelled at. the first time was right when class started.
"Hey, do you have a pencil?" He asked me
"no..." I said quietly
"Do you wanna borrow mine?" He laughed
"No. Leave me alone" I said
"You know what? You can have it, its all yours"
"I said leave me alone"
"Alright but I know you want it..."
Then he went back to his seat. Every Time I would look up, Nash would make weird faces and gestures, so I tried to keep my head down. The next time he came over was about 15 minutes later.
"Nicolette" he said
"Don't say my name" I snapped
"Woah, feisty. I like em' feisty" he touched my arm and I jerked it away.
"You know what feisty means?"
I didn't respond. I kept my head down.
"It means that your a great lover"
"Fuck off, Nash"
"Okay, feisty" he winked at me. I rolled my eyes and he went back to his seat. When class was almost over, he tried to come back over to me but the study hall monitor yelled at him. I have to admit I laughed a little bit.

When I walked out of school, I saw Cam standing by my car in the parking lot.
"Hey, I thought you would've had detention or something" I said as I approached him
"Nash got detention after school, I just got lunch detention for tomorrow"
"Oh"
He opened the passenger side door and I climbed in.
"Hand me your keys" he said as he opened the drivers side door. I tossed him my keys and we drove to my house. On the way, I told him what Nash had said to me in study hall. He seemed really mad.
"Maybe I should transfer study halls" he said
"You don't have to do that. I can handle him" I was lying.
"I know you can but I don't want him talking to you like that and you'll never get anything done if he's always bothering you and if I'm there, he won't bother you. I want to switch periods."
"Well if that's what you want.." I smile
"what period do you have study hall? Last?" He asked
"Yeah. what do you have last period?" I asked him
"Language arts and I have study hall first. I'll be glad to switch them. I hate having study hall first period"

The next day Cam was in my study hall And all Nash did was make faces at me when Cameron wasn't looking. Its so much better having Cam with me. My life is so much better with Cam in it.
