Nandini Arora's POV

After we had dinner at night, I was sitting beside my father. He just had his medicine and we were just talking. I wanted to ask him about the company but I hesitated. It was a sensitive topic. The company was his pride.

"Dad, I went to meet Manik today in his company building."

He stopped himself from saying anything for a few seconds. "You did? They have renovated the building. It looks more beautiful now."

"Yeah, it's beautiful. I also got to know about something else." I said while looking for any expression on his face but he just looked tired.

"You got to know about the company?" He finally asked.

"Why are you selling it?"

"I am sure you asked the same question to Manik and he surely answered it." He gave me a pointed look. He knew me too well. I just gave him a guilty smile.

"I wanted to hear it from you. I need to know your version. You faced losses before as well but never wanted to sell it but this time many things are associated with it."

"I am just tired. I tried my best but I wasn't the best person to take care of the company. I did everything, tormented you, was ready to risk it all but that company was not worth it. After you left, I realized that this company was not a blessing but a curse for my personal life." Dad took a deep breath. His condition did not allowed him to talk that much at once.

"Dad talk slowly. I am not going anywhere." I gave him water to drink but he refused.

"Even after that, I was with that company. But after my cancer happened, I no longer wanted to carry it's burden. They couldn't manage it at all after me. So, it's better to let it go and stop everyone's misery."

"I was supposed to help you in all these but I just left." I said sadly.

"You left because of us not willingly. We were the reason why you took such decision. I can not tell you how much I regretted it. My precious daughter left us and the reason was me and my selfish dreams." He had tears in his eyes.

"I want to give it a last try. Even if we have to sell the company, we will sell it in a good condition or will not sell it at all." He looked interested in my offer.

"What exactly you want to do? You have a life outside of this country. You don't even have much time." He was right but I would regret it for my entire life if I didn't give it a try.

"I don't know what I will do but Manik said that he will help me. I am going to figure everything out by tomorrow." He just made a confused face, I totally understood the situation as I would be confused too.

Dad sighed after a few moments. "Do whatever you want. But Mehrotra's should not face any problems for this. They already got into so many problems because of us. They also had loses in the business."

"So, you are giving me permission?" I asked just to be sure.

"You don't need my permission, honey. After me it's yours, do whatever you want to do with it. I will at least have some peace that I managed to pass it down to you." He said with a smile.

"All right. Now you sleep. Your eyes are already closing. I will try my best, dad. I promise you that."

I started my researching about the new fashion in India. Though it was getting influenced by the western fashion a lot. But traditional dresses also getting very stylish. We have many festivals in one year and another one was coming. It would be great if we could release some extraordinary dresses for regular one and release the long festive ones before the festivals.

I would need few designers as well. Should I contact my ex boss? She might help as she did before. I was thinking what to do when I saw my phone ringing. Manik stayed at his home that night.

"Hello."

"So, what did you decide? Talked to your father?" He asked.

"I did and I decided to give a last shot. Even if we sell it, I want to do it in a good condition. Not as bad as it is now."

"Okay. So, what are you planning?" He sounded like he was interested. His name would be in this too so obviously.

"We don't have much time. I am thinking about some collection for regular wear. I can manage it alone but I am planning for a collection for upcoming festivals. I will need more designers for that purpose."

"Wow! You seemed to figure out everything. Tomorrow we will fix everything in the office." Of course, I did. I already made a blueprint in my mind.

"No, I have some matters to handle tomorrow."

"Why do I feel like you are up to something that I am not going to like?" I tried to think if it's upsetting or not for him. My ex boss loathed him but I had no idea if he hated her as well.

"I don't know. I am doing something for the company only. I will take any step for it. It's my new mission."

"You have proven your worth and skills many times. I am sure that you will successfully start the company again." With the encouraging words, he ended the conversation for the night.

Dad was counting his last days and I didn't want him to leave knowing his company was no more. It's time to get out of the designer zone to the business woman zone.

Hayat Aslan's POV

I had studied my past similar cases with Imran. The risks are high and he probably have to carry a hole in his heart, all his life.

The day had arrived and we went inside of the surgery room where the young boy was lying unconscious. The surgery took hours, it was nerve wrecking. Few times we felt like we would lose him but he came around. It was a complete mess as he was losing too much blood.

By the grace of God, he was alive by the time we were finally done. It had been more than ten hours. All of us were exhausted but we were not nearly done with the surgery. If he woke up, then we had to monitor him to see the progress.

After getting out of the surgery room, I felt like I should get admitted in the hospital as well. I got out after taking a shower and saw Murat standing right outside of the female doctors resting unit.

"What are you doing here?" I frowned at him. I had no intention to stop walking so I just walked past him.

He followed me saying, "Came to pick you up. Dr. Imran said you are on verge of collapsing."

I snorted, "As if he is any better. I am so tired and I want to rest but I am hungry and want to eat something."

"You will be fine once we go inside of the car."

"I will fall asleep that's it. I am barely holding myself together." We got inside of the car and his driver started to drive the car.

Murat passed me two club sandwiches and a drink with them. His plan was to feed me in the car so that I could sleep as soon as we reached his house.

It was really thoughtful of him and I started eating after thanking him once. While eating my thoughts were going towards Zain. His condition was not good. We might have to operate him even before the kid we operated get back his consciousness.

I was done when the driver stopped the car in front of his house. I tripped while climbing the stairs, my legs felt funny and weak.

Murat was right behind me expecting something similar. He took me in his arms and said,

"No one wants you to get injured when you have such important things lined up."

"Is that why you were behind me all the time?" I asked.

"Yeah and the view was beautiful as well."

"What the..!"
