Hayat Aslan's POV

I was regretting all my life decisions all together. I had to act like a model then I was sent to a beauty parlor for a complete makeover. Why did I came back from the hospital? I should have stayed there and then I would not have gone through all of this.

I looked so different with the brown hair and the layer cut. I was looking good but it just made me look different. I cringed looking at the dress. I could not believe that Grandma chose it for me. I thought she would choose something that would cover all the place or will be modest but she didn't. The silver glittery dress was backless and two dainty threads were holding the whole piece together from falling apart.

Its not like I had not wear something like that before but I was having all the wrong vibes for the party.

Murat and Aada entered before us and the paparazzi were all over to click pics. We were three car away from them.

When it was our time, I took a deep breath and went ahead with Aayaz. I was holding his arm to support me. The flashes nearly made me blind. They were shouting questions after questions but we ignored and got inside the venue.

Grandma was looking too happy to see me and it actually rang the alarms inside of my mind. She hugged me and said, 'You look like an angel, a very beautiful angel.'

I looked around the hall to search for Murat. Aada and he were standing right in front of us. His eyes were wider than normal and he slowly was walking towards us. He looked like he was in a trance and his eyes pined me on a place. He walked really close to me and we were looking at each other's eyes. His gaze was addicting. I would not mind if it's always on me.

It was almost like everyone around us faded away. The trance was broken by both Aada and Aayaz as they half heartedly greeted each other. Murat removed a hair lock from my shoulder, touching my shoulder on the process. "You look gorgeous." He mumbled.

I took a deep breath to calm my nerves. "I always look gorgeous."

He smiled and nodded. "True, but today you look ravishing. You love to torture me Dr. Aslan."

"All of this are done by grandma. Looks like she had some kind of mission." I raised my eyebrow and turned to see where grandma was.

"Let's go, Murat. You said you have two greet everyone because they are your guest." Aada said and dragged Murat away holding his hand. My eyes followed them but Aayaz came into my sight.

"You wanna roam around and check out the place? We will look awkward if we just stood in one place."

We took our drinks from the waiter and started to circle the room while talking. But in between that I was keeping an eye on Murat and Aada. I frowned and lean towards Aayaz.

" They are practically brother and sister. Why is she trying to get so touchy with him?"

"Marriage between cousins are common. They are probably trying to create that image or that girl had another mission in her mind." He said it with such anger.

"I never asked you because it seems to be a personal problem but why are you always angry at her? Did she do anything to you?"

"She was my ex girlfriend. We both were struggling and going to audition together. But she changed after she started to get modeling gigs. The love, the dreams we had, were gone. I know most of all of was not her fault at all. It was just misunderstanding and miscommunication but our relationship was not important enough for her to stay and actually fix the problems. I got no closure and she ain't ready to give one."

I was so invested in his story that I did not realize that his hand was resting on my waist. " Life is unpredictable like that but if you keep holding onto it, you will never move on."
