Chapter 46

Manik Mehrotra's POV

I felt so angry that I could feel my blood boiling. I sent him there to do something which would stop Nandini from dating others but no! I felt like someone lit a fire on my body when Nandini told me that her date went awesome and she might consider dating Nial. I wanted to beat the sh!t out of Nial but I was not up for any brawl.

Nial was not expecting me to come to him and he was like "Hey, bro."

"Hey yourself. What have you done?" I asked with a glare.

"She is smart. She understood that we were planning something and turned it to us. She didn't really say anything to me but she was adamant about starting something. I told her that I was not ready for dating but she said that I came to the blind that means I am ready for something." He shrugged and I felt like pulling my hair out.

"So, the vixen is trying to play? I thought it would be easy but okay. You are going to be the worst version of a boyfriend." I said with a smirk and he sighed.

"I should not have listen to you. Nothing good comes out of it. You two fiancé, ex fiancé whatever you call each other, sort it out. I am not going to be the middle man of a disaster." I narrowed my eyes at him. He had the audacity to blame it all on me?

"Nial, it was you who wanted to help. You initiated half of the plan because you thought it would be fun. But when you saw that it's not fun, it's going to be much more, you flipped the entire thing on me. Why do I think you are in her team?"

"Whoa! I helped you so much and you are accusing me like that? Wow, this world has become so scary." He dramatically rubbed his arms.

"I am warning you, Nial. If you double cross me just for fun then you know what will happen."

"I am not doing anything. You handle your lady love and leave me alone." He started to get angry as well.

"She is not my lady love." I didn't love her.

"Come again? Why are you behind her if you don't love her? No wonder she ain't taking you seriously." He shook his head as if I was some stupid.

"Don't be an idiot. Nothing happened that would make me fall in love with each other. We both hated each either that time and I did the self reflecting after she left. She made me value the relationships and that literally changed my world. I know that she is good for me and that's the reason why I am behind her. I asked to date her because it would give us opportunity to know each other and fall for each other. But she rejected the idea!"

"She didn't reject the idea, she rejected you. So you are telling me that you don't feel anything about her. Then what is wrong with dating other man? She can find someone better than you and you can also get involved with someone else." He looked at me and lowered his voice. "And you are getting angry while picturing her with someone else. You are not supposed to feel jealous or anything. Just admit that you feel something for her. Make her feel special. These little games will take you both nowhere."

I was going to say something but Katherine came with a file in her hands. "We will talk about it later." I said and left Nial with Katherine. Honestly, I didn't know what to say to him because I knew that it was not love.

Katherine's POV

"The committee wants you to read the rules and conditions. You signing it will mean that you know what to do. It's not a competition but they want it to be fair. The fire incident is rising concerns." I said while offering him the file.

He just looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "You want me to read it? That's your job, Kat."

"It's over my working hours and it's Katherine." I said looking elsewhere.

"You are here on duty 24/7. Read it to me and why are your eyes look so red? Did you cry?" He asked and I turned my face more away from him.

"I am doing something with the staffs. I need to go." I kept the file on the table in front of him and literally ran towards the door. I would not be safe until I go out of the door. I just stepped outside of the room and I was dragged back into it. He closed the door and pressed me on the door.

So I was not safe even after successfully crossing the door.

"You are my assistant. You only need to do my work. Whatever you are doing with the staffs, cancel it." He was so close. He always did it whenever I tried to get away from him.

"I need to go." Enough was said and done.

I tried to push him away but he was just standing there. He placed a finger under my chin to make me look at him. "Why? Anybody special waiting for you there?"

"Maybe? You should be worried about your dating life. I can date, love, make out with anyone." I could not do anything before he kissed me.

It was not the first time when he kissed me. Whenever I tried to go against him, he stacked a claim on me. I hit his chest and slapped him when he broke the kiss. It was not a first time as well. "Stop doing that. You are lucky that I have not filed a case against you. You are dating Nandini at least respect her. You are cheating on her even before you started to go out with her."

"You probably don't know that if I see you with anyone else, be ready to say goodbye to that person."

"Are you threatening? Wait, why do you care? You have got a happening life then why it is wrong for me to have a life outside. Stop being a hypocrite." I glared at him.

"I didn't say that I am not a hypocrite. I am a very mean, selfish and jealous person. You better watch out your back shortie." He said like a mad man.

"You are not making any sense. Maybe it's high time for you to stop drinking." I said and successfully got out of the room.

He had no right on me.

Hayat Aslan's POV

"Alright Aada Eren and Ayaz Deniz, you two are selected for the very important real life roles. Now we are going to test if you are ready to go out or you need training." The director told them and I was so ready with the popcorn.

Murat already had a sour face on when the director called him to act a scene. My 'acting' boyfriend sat beside me and I smiled at him.

"Welcome, on board Ayaz."

"Thank you. But I would like it if you call me Deniz. Nobody really use Ayaz for me." He said politely.

"No problem, I actually wanted to ask you something. How people outside of this studio do not know what's going on here? I low key expected the media to verge in here."

"Probably because we signed a NDA?"

Oh, so Murat made them sign agreements. Obviously, a business man like him is not going to miss any point.

"Grandma, how are you? I hope you are doing well. I heard about your operation and wanted to meet you but he said it was not the right time." Aada said while giving Murat a gentle push. I for some reason, did not like it.

"Woah, she is good." I mumbled.

"Yeah, it's her natural element." Deniz said in a off tone. He looked disgusted.

"Whatever beef you have with each other, fix it before you two lose your recently allotted jobs."

Aada was acting really well and I was impressed. But that weird feeling inside me was not really pleasant. It was finally our time.

"I am her boyfriend and I don't want to lose her just because she was supposed to be married with someone else. It's all in the past." Deniz said pulling me close to him by my waist.

"She looks uncomfortable!" Murat barked and Deniz stepped back. Murat was glaring at him and I rolled my eyes.

"It's my fault not his. Don't worry. I will be fine with time." I assured Deniz.

"You don't have to be that close." Murat did not know when to take a hint.

"How else others gonna believe, it's real?" I said but got vicious glare in return from both him and Aada.
