Chapter 7

Hayat Aslan's POV

I was getting ready for my next surgery when a nurse told me that the chairman of the hospital summoned me. I frowned when I heard it. Because chairman never called any doctor like that. He always called the department senior doctor to discuss about hospital matters.

But he called me in his chamber that too before my surgery, had me sweating like a cold potato. Many scenarios were going through in my mind. What if someone complained about me? What if I was going to be charged for something?

I didn't understand why Murat's face came to my mind and it left me wondering if it was him, pulling another stunt. I tried to dismiss the idea but my gut feeling was telling me that Murat did something.

If I lose my job because of him then I would do an open heart surgery on him!

I murmured many things to keep my nerves calm. I knocked on the door and simply pushed it open. Chairman was sitting with another person but his back only confirmed that my gut feelings were right.

"Dr. Aslan, how nice of you to join us!" he said with an odd enthusiasm. I looked at Murat to understand what was going on there but his face didn't show anything except for a small smirk.

"I was just going for a surgery when you called me, sir."

"Of course, you are such a hard working doctor. Don't worry, other doctors are going to perform your today's surgeries."

My shocked face totally gave away what I wanted to say. 'What the f****!'

"But sir, they are my patients. I should be the one operating them not others." I tried to be as respectful as I could be.

"Yes, but it's not everyday Mr. Yilmaz come to take his fiance away. You should have tell us that he is your fiance."

' You would have like that, wouldn't you? You would have start buttering me right away.' I thought bitterly. I hated it whenever someone tried to involve themselves between me and my work. Murat Yilmaz was doing the exact thing.

"I didn't know our hospital gives us this kind of facility. A doctor can leave her duty just because her fiance came to meet her. I will make sure that everyone get to know about such a generous facility." chairman tried very hard to keep his smile intact but it was a real hard job.

" Come on, darling. Don't be so hard on himself. You see, I am one of the trustees here. So, I just used my little bit power." Murat got up from the sofa and stood in front of me.

"Really? Since when? I don't think I ever saw your name in the list of trustees." I challenged. If he become a trustee recently then God save him from me.

"I am a secret one. Maybe that's why. I don't like making it a big thing when it is not." His statement made me speechless. I cleared my throat to talk.

"We are going out then? Let me just get rid of this hospital uniform." There was no point in saying anything. He came to take me out and he would do it.

After changing into my jeans and a black halter neck top, I took my bag and left to search for him. I found talking with a kid who looked a lot like him. I narrowed my eyes thinking he was Murat's son.

I slowly tried to sneak on them but Murat saw me. He said something to the kid and went towards me. "Are you ready?"

I ignored him as my eyes followed that kid. "You know him?" he asked with a frown.
