I've been working for Saturday Night Live since the 2000s. I've seen people come and people go. I've given my greetings and my goodbyes. Never in my years of working at SNL have, I gained feelings for a coworker that just wasn't office etiquette, and I told myself never to be attracted to someone in the workplace.  But that oath didn't remain for very long—October 1st, 2016, was when I broke that contract. It wasn't my fault he asked me out. I happen to be that hot. So we went on dates we spent the night. I loved him...

I stood backstage with an earset in my right ear and a clipboard in my right hand. "NO! that doesn't go there!" I yelled to an employee. I was the stage director. I made sure that all the sets were put together, and it was my job to decide how the sets look. I was in charge of the "background" That's the simplified version of it.

The audience didn't arrive until 11; it was 10:45. I groaned as I felt rushed. I walked onto the stage, "You know what, give it to me." I said. One of my co-workers handed me the prop president table, it looked heavy, but it wasn't. Or maybe I was just strong, and everyone underestimated me. I set down the table in the center of the stage. I backed off the stage and into the seats to see how the stage looked from afar. I smirked; I was proud of myself.

One of Lorne's many assistants rushed past me, "Letting them in now!". I got off my thoughts and rushed out of the way and backstage, and there I saw Kyle sitting down in a director's chair. He was waiting for showtime, looking down at his phone with a creepily large smile on his face. "Kyle," I said, trying to get his attention.  "Kyle," I said again. But he was glued to his phone. I swear if I had to rip it out of his hands, I would. "Kyle!" I shouted. He then looked up to see me standing in front of him. "Oh hey Y/N, what's up?" he asked before his eyes slowly fell back down to his phone.

"Where's Alex?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"Uh-huh..." Kyle said, looking down at his phone, obviously not knowing a word that I just said.

"Is he in his dressing room?" I asked.

"You don't say? Wow, that's crazy," he said as his fingers tapped against his phone screen.

Before I could yell at him for being an ass and ignoring me, Mikey was walking towards us. I turned my head and smiled at him. "Hey Mikey, have you seen Alex?" Mikey was already in his outfit for the first skit. He was playing the role of Donald Trump Jr.  "No, I haven't. But he should be here soon. We're starting in any minute." He said as he peaked through to see the full-packed audience.

The first skit was starting as the celebrity guest starting acting first. Then Mikey's cue; He waltz up onto the stage like the character he was playing would. I was watching the skit from behind the curtain. I laughed at the jokes, but I couldn't stop thinking about Alex. Where the hell could he be? Before I could pull out my phone, a hand was placed on my back. I turned my head, and a smile came across my face.

"Hey, Y/N," he said in a whispered voice, then planted a kiss on my cheek. Before I could even say 'Hello' back, he had to get on stage to perform. I smiled as I watched him act, and the audience laughed. Alex lit up the room when he walked on stage, and everyone loved him. The audience, the cast, even I loved him...even I loved him.

From the first performance to the monologue, to the Weekend Update, and the closing ceremony. I couldn't stop thinking about Alex. And how much I truly felt passion for him, I loved him. I cared for him. I mean, we have been dating for quite a while, but neither he nor I have told  each other that we love them.

I smiled as I was in the backroom, watching the skit from a television screen. The show was almost over. And so, I got up and headed to the stage. The audience left and I instructed my coworkers where to move the set pieces. I sighed as I looked around to see if Alex would pop up. I needed to tell him. I needed to tell him that I love him. While I was showing someone where to put a prop, to arms wrapped around my waist from behind. I turned around to see Alex. "You ready to get outta here?" he asked with a faint voice, he was tired from working.

I nodded, "Yeah."

We left through the back of the building so we didn't have to get stopped by the fans. I unlocked my car and headed to the drivers seat, "I can drive." Alex said. I smiled but shook my head, "You had a long day. You relax, I can drive." I said as I opened the car door. We both got inside. I turned on the engine, I opened my mouth to speak but alex beat me to it, "Thanks..." He said with a yawn as he pulled the seat all the way down so he could lay down.

I pushed on the pedal as i drove us through the alleyway, "Thanks? What for?" I asked, confused. The city lights shined as the color shined through the car- driving past them.

"Thanks for you- if it wasn't for you, we wouldn't have those amazing set designs. You always know how to make the stage look amazing." He said as he looked through the sun worth up to the buildings and the faint stars, which were hard to see from the buildings.

"Don't thank me I'm just doing my job." I giggled as I pulled through the garage to my apartment.

"And you're doing an amazing job at it." He said as he sat up.

I parked the car in the garage and got out, so did he. I walked to him and he interlocked his arm with mine, I smiled as I laid my head his shoulder. Pushed the elevator button, we stood in silence as we waited for it to arrive. "Hey Alex, I've been meaning to tell you something" I said, but before I could speak again the elevator doors opened. We walked inside as he let go of my arm. "What do you want to say?" he asked as he stood in front of me.

"We've been together for a while now...and I've wanted to just say that, I love you." I said with a smile as I looked directly in his eyes. I could see the small smirk stretch on his face. "Y/N, I-" he said but i interuppted him, was it too soon?

"You don't have to answer right now, take your time. It was too soon? wasn't it..." i started rambling as was anxious, i fucked everything up.

"No. Y/N, I love you too, I've loved you since the beginning, since our first date, from the first time I saw you. I love you." he said as he held both of my hands before pushing me into a kiss.

I closed my eyes as I kissed him back, his hands moved down to my waist as the kiss seemed to last forever, before we were interrupted by the elevator doors opening, he let go of the kiss. He smiled before picked me up. I was in shock but allowed it. He left the elevator with me wrapped around his body, and too my apartment.
