It was an off day, which meant I didn't have to wake up at 6:00 A.M. To get my ass to work. But don't get me wrong, I love my job. I've always loved it. But I've noticed my motivation to even get to work was because of someone. It was like a middle school crush. So I would make myself look all good for them. I'd put on the best clothes; I'd make sure I brushed my hair and did not look like I just rolled out of bed.

It being an off day meant I could sleep for the whole day, then wake up at 9:00 P.M. actually to start my day. But today was not like that; I decided to be productive. Go outdoors and see New York!

I was wearing the hottest outfit I could put on. I grabbed my purse and decided to head out the door. One step out of the door and the noise of New York was...Cars honking, people yelling, things falling, and the loud subways that made the buildings shake. I shook it off; it didn't bother me. I was used to it.

First, I headed down the street, thinking a coffee would be the best way to start the day. I turned the corner to the coffee shop that was at the intersection by my house. I opened the glass door and walked to the line; it was a long line. Longer than usual...But then again, I usually Postmate. So I didn't actually know how long the line actually was. I pulled out my phone and stood in the stand-still line while playing a crappy game on my phone.

"Y/N?" Someone spoke. I lifted my head to see him. Him. I smiled as I felt my heart beating through my chest. What the hell? Why is he here? How is he here? I mean, I know we live in the same city, but it's New York, there are thousands of coffee shops, why'd he have to choose this one?! And why now?!  "Heyyyyy, Beck. What- What are you doing here?" I asked, putting my phone in my back pocket.

"Well, I'm getting coffee." he raised an eyebrow as if that's what you're supposed to do at a coffee shop, "Oh, Right. I've just never seen you in this area before." I said with a smile.

"Yeah, I've never been to this Burrough before, so I wanted to see it." He said with a smile.

"I'll take whoever's next please!" The Barista said as Beck quickly turned around and walked up to her. I stood there silently waiting for him to finish his order so we could continue our awkward conversation.

"ill have a mocha caramel latte chino, made with soy milk. no whip creme! please put that in a grande cup but use the same amount of coffee that's put into a tall, that ways there about an inch of extra room on top to stir in my own nutmeg without spilling any coffee at all."

He looked at me, lifting an eyebrow to see what your order will be. The Barista turned to me looking at your order as well.

"Uh- I'll have a tea!"

Beck turned back to you, after your small and casual order, he tilted his head at you.

"What kind?"

He questioned me, I felt awkward like you just embarrassed yourself.

"Just- tea?" he asked double-checking

"Yep! just uh...Tea!" I said with a smile as what you were saying made no sense to him or the barista.

"Y/N, there's different types of tea..." He chuckled thinking you were just teasing around.

"Oh! right I'll get iced tea." I said with a smile being genuine.

"Alright, we have different flavors for our iced tea, what were you thinking of?"  She asked with a smile ignoring the fact that I was holding up the line.

"Oh uh, I guess Mint tea?" I questioned my own order not knowing if I was making the right choice. With Beck here it was awkward for me to order, I usually know what I want but he was making me all flustered.

After that dreadful order, Beck and I got our drinks. We stood by an empty table but we didn't actually sit at the table, instead, we talked, we talked about a lot: Work, Family, Movies. But after a while, he asked, "Wanna go walk around?"

I smiled, I got all flustered "Yeah! sure!"

He smiled as I accepted his request, he walked to the glass door of the coffee entrance and opened the door for me.

"Thank you, kind sir," I said in the most crappy British accent.

"Yes of course my liege." he returned with a crappy British accent as well.

We walked down the streets of the New York Burrough. it was nice having company. Beck held out his arm. I looked at him and he looked at me with a returned smile. I took a hint and wrapped my arm around his. We walked and talked, stopping at stores and looking around at the merchandise.

At the end of the day, he walked me back home. Spending the day with him was like a dream come true, I always told Cecily and Kate about my liking for Beck. And now I finally got to spend a day with him. He walked up the steps with me to my house.

"See you at work Y/N" he smiled as he headed down the steps.

"Wait, Beck!"  I shouted. He turned around and smiled

"Yep, what's up?"

"Could we do this? Next weekend?" I asked and he looked at me with the biggest grin on his face "I'd love to."
