Date of Dream: Summer 2015
Word Count~ 1010I get abruptly waken up from my deep slumber by my parents telling me it was time to leave. I squint my eyes from the piercing sunlight beaming in as my mom snatches my curtains open.
"Get up. Unless you wanna stay here, and stare at these walls for the next few weeks, get up! Get dressed, and bring your luggage to the front door. If you're not ready in the next fifteen minutes, we'll leave youuuu." My mom teases, as she yanks my protective layer of blankets off of me.My parents, and I decided to go on a nice cruise ship vacation since it was the summer time.
———————TIME SKIP————————
My parents were standing near the edge of the ship with a breathtaking view of the ocean right behind them. They were busy taking selfies. I decided to go explore the boat a bit more. I walked by smiling, as I observed families meeting other families, and excitement oozing from their eyes. Music was blasting, and people were drinking alcohol. I wanted to purchase some for myself, but unfortunately I wasn't old enough yet. I frowned. As I kept walking, I came across a guy standing at the edge of the boat by himself, looking on to the horizon. I could tell he was attractive even from the back as his hair blew in the moist wind. I decided to go speak to him. I had nothing else to do. He seemed ..... lonely maybe? I walked up to him, and shyly spoke up.
"Umm excuse me. Are you alri-"
I was cut off as he turned to look at me. He towered over me, his light brown eyes stared down into my darker ones. He had plump lips with a faint pink tint to them. His skin was fair. His jawline was nice, and chiseled. He was thin, but I could see the muscle definition under his white t -shirt. His short wavy brown hair was pushed back out of his face , exposing every beautiful feature he possessed. This man was fucking beautiful.
"Yeah I'm alright." He laughed softly. My god that smile. "Just taking a breather. My parents can be a little overbearing." He said as his eyes scanned the features of my face. Was he.... checking me out.
"No, yeah I get it. Mine as well. Suffocatin'. I wanted a drink but I'm not old enough so." I awkwardly laughed. Looking away from his intense gaze.
"Ah no? How old are you?" He asked curiously furrowing his brows. "Nineteen." I say , wondering if he was near my age. "Me too!" He exclaimed excitedly. Smiling even wider than before. Well would ya look at that. "Shut up! Really?" I ask happily. He vigorously nodded his head. We got to know each other for the next few minutes. We discovered that I was the older teen as my birthday comes before his. We chatted about our families, our jobs (He worked at a coffee shop, and I worked at a restaurant) , and where we were from. I told him I was from Texas, and he frowned a bit. "That's pretty far from where I live." He sighed. I furrowed my brows. "Aw, where are you from then?" I asked.
He sighed again looking down. "New York." I then took a turn to sigh. "The coolest people always live centuries away." I frowned as he stared down at me. His face then lit up. "Hey maybe we can meet up one day. I mean we both have jobs. We can save money for the planes rides and stuff." He exclaimed. I smiled and nodded my head. "I'm down, of course." I said smiling. We just stood there smiling at one another for a few seconds. If I had known him better, I possibly would've kissed him. I could tell he wanted the same as his eyes made their way to my glossy lips. "Noah! What are you doing?" A woman's alerting voice caused our heads to snap into her direction. There stood a middle aged woman. She had sunglasses over her head pushing back her light brown hair. She had an alcoholic drink in one hand, and a camera in the other. She looked annoyed. "Your dad and I have been looking for you everywhere." She said glaring at him. He rolled his eyes. "Well, here I am. I couldn't have gone far. We're on a boat for crying out loud." He said exasperated and I stifled a laugh.
"Yeah, I see you've made a new....friend." She said as she eyes me up and down with dagger eyes. I tilt my head and furrow my brows. What the hell?
"Mom, please." He says as he starts walking towards his witch of a mother. He turns to look back at me. "I'll see you around?" He smiles at me. I nod my head, and return the smile. "Yeah, I'll holla at ya." My smile fades as I see my parents staring at me from a distance. Concern, yet disapproval written on their expressions. I make my way towards them. "Hey Mama, hey Daddy. What's up?" I ask eyeing them closely. "You done made a lil white boyfriend huh?" My dad asks, as he chuckles. My mom chuckles as well, then gets serious. The same eye level as me, she sighs before speaking. "You need to be careful with the white boys, pretty. You know how their families can be." I nodded my head. "I know. I just barely met him ten minutes ago. I'm not marryin' him today." I say sarcastically and giggle as I look from my mom's eyes, to my dad's. "We don't wanna have hurt anybody on this boat, girl. Have fun, but not too much fun. " he says raising his eyebrows at me. I nod and position myself between both my parents as I hook arms with them. Pulling them forward towards the bar. "I'm feelin' like some shots right about now." I say as my parents side eye me. "I'm just playin'".
