Jinyoung took Ji's other hand and led, along with Jackson, Ji far away from Detention, until he stopped.
Jackson looked confusingly at Jinyoung, who had just stopped in the middle of an empty hallway.
"Ji," Jinyoung started, his tone extremely serious. "I need you to understand that someone just fucking died for you. Do you grasp that concept?"
Ji nodded.
"I really don't think you do. Noah. Is. Not. Coming. Back."
Ji nodded once more. "I'm trying to understand. The concept is so foreign to me."
"Well, I need you to try harder, Ji. This is serious."
"Yes, brother."
JYP called Dae and Jinyoung into a meeting after hearing the news about Noah. He stated the Mina would be YoungDay's temporary hacker and driver until they find a proper replacement.
Dae found this exceedingly exciting; having her mafia godmother in her group? Noah's death was tragic, but this was a nice turn of events.
A few days later, Dae decided to drive back to her previous home. The same house she lived in since her mother shot herself. It was the same place she lived in since she was barely able to talk. It was a home full of happy and rejoiceful memories that she would never forget.
Dae doesn't know what brought her to borrow Twice's car and drive to her house; maybe it was a gravitation pull towards the better times. Perhaps it was to get away from the chaos of work.
What she wasn't expecting was eight men in the living room when she opened the door.
Jeongin, Changbin, Felix, Minho, Chan, Seungmin, Hyunjin, and Jisung. Her family, sitting on the couches in the living room; how long have they been at home for? How long has Dae been going about her life, wondering where in the hell her fathers were. Only for them to be home, without her.
They all drew their guns at the door when they heard the key click and unlock the door. The only thing stopping them from actually shooting was their curiosity. Who else had a key to their house?
"Dae," Chan said, in a mixture of relief and confusion. He couldn't tell which one it was.
"You're- You're here?"
Felix looked as if he was about to cry. He hadn't told anyone he called Dae that night. It was his lifeline seeing she was okay.
"You're not supposed to be here," Jisung stated, not a single inch of content emotion on his face. All negative.
Whether they wanted Dae here or not, they had no intention of shooting her, so they all retracted their guns.
Dae's happiness to see them formed into anger very quick.
"How long have you been here?" She seethed. "How long have I been suffering for you guys to just.. Be here?"
"That's none of your business," Changbin replied, matching Dae's energy.
"It is!" She exploded. "I've been," she paused, trying to think of the right words. "in fucking agony! And your only response is 'It's none of your business'??"
"Dae-"
She cut Chan off. "No! I don't want to hear it from any of you. Fuck you! Fuck you for being in the mafia! Fuck you for leaving. And most of all fuck you for letting me be absolutely fucking miserable here while you are having fun being traitors!"
Dae slams the front door and gets in Twice's car. She watched as Chan and Felix ripped open the door to try to stop her, but she flipped them off, pulled the car into reverse, and sped off.
How she would regret that.
