"Minnie," Dae mumbled, "I'm sleepy."
Minho looked up from his phone and to the young girl standing in front of her. Her eyes were half drooped, and she slightly swayed where she was standing. Dae also held the precious Build-a-Bear Hyunjin gifted her all those years ago.
The trip was over and now the 9 of them were on the plane back to Korea.
"Yeah?" Minho teased, perking his brow at her. "And tell me why I should care?"
Dae whined loudly, throwing her head back. "Because-"
"In English," he interrupted, a teasing glint in his eyes.
"Minho! You can't even understand English well!"
"Go ask Chan, Felix, or Seungmin then. But I want to hear English from you."
She huffed, crossing her arms. She turned around dramatically "Fine then. Channie! Do you mind helping me with something?"
Before Dae could cutely skip over to Chan, asking to take a nap with her, Minho grabbed her wrist and pulled her into him. Almost as if they were in a Kdrama and the love interest was defending the protagonist from an ongoing car. Of course, Minho and Dae aren't love interests, nor is there a car coming at Dae, but the scene is still in mind.
"She doesn't need help," Minho concluded when Chan gave the two of them a confused glance.
"You confuse me."
Dae sighed, cuddling into the oddly affectionate Lee Minho. He lightly brushed his fingers through her hair and she laid her head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat was a calming experience for her.
"I like the sound of your heartbeat, Minnie," She mumbled, her voice almost inaudible; drowned out almost completely by the sleep she was fighting.
"Yeah? And why's that?"
"It reminds me that you're safe and alive. It reminds me of the times we had together in the past and the times we're going to have. All because of that beating heart is doing its job."
Minho wrapped his arms tightly around her, clearing touched by the sentimental statement she presented to him.
They both fell silent after that, having nothing to talk about and Dae was trying to sleep anyways.
"Dae!" Hyunjin called from the bottom of the stairs. "We need to leave soon! What's taking you so long?"
"I'll be done in a few!" Dae called back, adjusting her earrings in the mirror.
Today was the official meeting Youngday had with JYP about the ins and outs of the mafia.
Dae doesn't get ready much, her job requiring a lot of hands-on activity, and most of the time she would sweat off makeup if she wore it and she needed freeing clothing to properly do her job. But today, she dressed up since it was a meeting with her boss. She also kindly told Jinyoung to dress up as well. Kindly as in stated she would "throw ninja stars at his throat if he didn't dress nicely"
Finally adjusting her dress and slipping on her heels, she admired herself slightly in the mirror before leaving the bathroom finally.
She descended the stairs slowly, her ankles not fully used to the heels; one of the ankles she couldn't even feel. She found herself often stumbling and falling on that one ankle, but she tried her best to get used to the feeling and learn.
She wore a coral blouse and a black pencil skirt. She curled her hair so it was in gorgeous spirals down her back. She hadn't gotten a haircut in a long time so her hair was currently quite long. Her makeup was a soft pink look, nothing 'too much' but something to highlight her features.
