The Family That's Ours (Sequel to Family)

We're excited to see you come back

A couple of days later, Dae was teaching in her classroom, still not over completely losing her fathers. However, she still had a job to fulfill, so she had to shove all emotions down her throat and just work.

While she was working, teaching her tier one students combat, JYP came into her classroom asking to see her in his office.

"Yeah, of course. Jinyoung, do you mind taking over completely for a few minutes."

With approval from Jinyoung, Dae was off, following JYP into his office.

"Have a seat, Dae. We have a few very important matters to talk about."

"Is everything alright, sir?"

"I believe I should be asking you that."

Dae tilts her head to the side, clearly confused about what he meant by that.

"I don't understand."

JYP chuckled lightly, confusing Dae even more. "Your trips, Dae. To your old home? What are those about?"

Dae froze for a brief moment, but she needed to protect her fathers, so she showed no sign of panic. She used everything she learned from Minho and his acting and put on a facade.

"Oh!"

"Oh?" JYP questions. "You think it would just slip by me?"

"No of course not," Dae lightly answers. "Must've forgotten to report it. I forgot a few things at my house, like weapons and some extra clothes. I apologize for the suspicion."

JYP smiles warmly, nodding his head in understanding. "I see. Well, I believe you, Dae, but I'm still going to do a full check of your home, just to be safe. Is that alright with you?"

Dae knew Stray Kids were long gone, so it was safe for JYP to examine the house. Dae returned JYP's warm smile and nodded.

"Of course it is."

JYP and a small crew of people search Stray Kids' and YoungDay's home, finding nothing, as Dae believed and expected.

What Dae didn't expect, however, was JYP to break into YoungDay's home, screaming.

"Where the fuck are they?!" JYP screamed.

Dae jumps out of her bed, startled awake. She grabs a gun from off her nightstand and runs to the living room of their shared dorm. She finds Jinyoung did the same thing, without the gun and instead, a knife. Dae mentally rolled her eyes, but she was too afraid of the intruder to really care about Jinyoung's poor weapon choice.

JYP, his face furious, and a gun pointed right at Dae. His bodyguards were there too, tier ones Dae used to teach who ranked up and became that position, pointing guns at Dae too.

All eyes were on her.

"Answer me!" JYP snarled.

Dae's eyes filled with tears, she didn't know what she had to answer. She didn't know what was going on.

"I- I'm sorry, I don't understand."

"Stray Kids! Where the fuck are they?!"

Dae's eyes widened a great deal. She thought she lied pretty well.

"That's what I fucking thought bitch. Now where the fuck are they?"

"How did you know?" Dae questions, avoiding the question given.

"JYP issues phones, we can see where you are, what you do... and who you call."

"Then how come you can't just track Stray Kids? Their phones are issued aren't they?"

"No. Seungmin's an amazing hacker and disabled tracking. Somehow, he got through the software."

Just at that moment, Twice burst through the door, guns in hand, ready to protect their younger mafia group. They heard the screaming and got concerned for YoungDay.

"JYP?" Jihyo questions. "What's going on?"

"Dae knows more about where Stray Kids are than we think."

"I-I don't know any more than what you know. I was stupid and never allowed them to explain when I saw them. I was mad, and I let my anger get ahead of me. I should've let them explain. I'm sorry that this costed us."

JYP sighed and lowered the gun. He knew Dae was telling the truth. He knew how much Dae misses them and how angry she was at them for leaving. This type of behavior for Dae isn't out of the ordinary.

"I understand. Thank you, Dae, for giving the information this time. Don't lie to me again. And please learn to manage your emotions."

He gestured his bodyguards and walked out of the door, the door slamming closed and now only leaving YoungDay and Twice together.

Sana walked towards Dae, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Dae, are you alright?"

Dae swallowed her pride and shook her head. She hugged Sana and started crying.

"I want them back, Sana. It was so... stupid of me to not let them explain. I should've let them explain. I'm so stupid. And it's costing the whole company.

"Dae, it's alright. You just need to learn to control your emotions. It's okay. We all have things to improve on."

Soon enough, Dae was calm enough to make jokes about how stupid JYP looked angry.

"I mean, with his eyebrows furrowed he looks like an Angry Bird," Dae giggled.

However, Dae's giggling was halted when she started to feel the pounding in her skull. She gripped her head and screamed in pain. Her world went dizzy and fuzzy and in the next second, she was on the floor, Unconscious.

"Hey baby," She heard Felix say. "You're gonna be awake soon, isn't that great?"

"We're excited to see you come back," Chan expressed.

Dae shot awake, ready to be welcomed by Stray Kids, however, she was greeted by the bright white infirmary room in JYPE, Jeongyeon was the only one in there.

"The voices, they were so vivid. So real."
