When I got home, I stripped myself of Pierce's jacket and my dress. I felt free stripping the fancy fabric from my skin. I dug in my closet, lacing my body with one of Pierce's white football shirts. The fabric hung off my body, engulfing me, wearing like a dress. I pulled on some gym shorts before walking into the bathroom to get a good look at my hand. I tried to stretch out my fingers but pain instantly shot through my fingers and up my wrist.

"Mom!" I yelled, only to have her enter a short few seconds later.

"Where are you?" My mom's voice sounded by my door.

I poked my head out from the door way of my bathroom. My mom quickly made her way over to me.

"What's up sweetheart?"

"Can you wrap up my hand? I don't know how but it hurts to move all of it. Fingers, wrist, everything." I groaned as I tried to move all the body parts that felt pain.

"Don't move it if it hurts Charlee." My mom said with concern behind her voice. "Reece should have old splints I can put you in. If it's still hurting in the morning, I'm taking you to the doctors."

"I don't want to go to the doctors again. I'll be fine."

I knew that my mom wanted to fight me on the topic, she just didn't have the energy for it. She quickly left the room, to return with a brace only a short few minutes later. She wrapped the brace tightly around my hand.

"Better?"

"Yeah, thanks mom. Love you." I wrapped my arms tightly around her before she left my room, shutting the door behind her.

I waited patiently in my bed, fighting off the tiredness taking over my body. It felt like it took hours for Pierce's call to come in. When I checked the clock, it had been hours.

"Hey baby girl." Pierce said as he pulled a matching shirt to mine over his head. It covered the bruise that still lined his skin.

"Hi." I said quietly, nudging my head against my pillow, adjusting myself slightly.

"My tired girl." Pierce said as he grabbed his phone before jumping into his bed.

I didn't respond, I just nodded my head at him.

"Sorry it took so long. Casey called and said Ryatt wouldn't go to sleep because she needed P or Mama Charlee." I closed my eyes trying not to let it affect me. The fact that Pierce was called first.

"Baby, Casey was going to call you but she knew how rough of a night you had. She didn't want to bug you."

"I don't care what kind of night I have. I've been through worse and still raised Ryatt. Ryatt, Ryder, Lucy and Luca. I should be first call."

"Charlee, come on don't be upset. You don't have to be the only one they have now. You deserve rest. I know you're in pain physically. It's best you stayed home anyways."

"Well, I would have liked the option Pierce."

"I'm sorry I didn't give you the option, okay baby girl? Please forgive me? I don't need the most beautiful girl in the world upset with me." Pierce stared at me through the phone.

"Okay." I said quietly.

"Go to sleep. I can tell you're struggling." Pierce chuckled as he snuggled up with his pillow.

"Goodnight Kingston." I said as I shut my eyes.

"Goodnight Baker. I love you."

"Love you." The words left my mouth in an almost inaudible tone.
