The week just seemed to fly by. Before I knew it, the week before the school ball was coming to a close and only one week remained. Pierce had yet to ask me the question of being his date. But I didn't mind because it was a given. I was his date, he was mine.

Harlow came charging towards me as I entered our final period of the day, and week.

"Woah, Harlow, calm down." I laughed as I plopped my book bag onto Pierce and I's shared table.

"Look!" She pulled me towards the window where my brother and boyfriend stood like idiots.

Harlow's commotion called attention to all the other students in the room. They all followed our suit and crowded around the window.

I hated it.

I have a bubble, and they were invading it.

Harlow opened the window feeling how much tension was radiating off of me. I needed air and I needed it fast.

The moment the cool air hit my face it was like the pressure of the people around me slipped from my shoulders. A heavy breath left my mouth and I finally focused out the window.

Pierce was stood in a bright red dress with my brother's arms wrapped around him. They were standing in your stereotypical prom photo stance. I tried to hold back my laughter but with all the laughs around me I couldn't help myself.

"Harlow will you go to-" the laughs filling the classroom over took my brother's words but we all knew what he was asking. He was playing a risky hand trying to claim the one girl who refused to have a claim stamp on her. But shockingly she yelled yes out the window.

I guess she was slowly falling for Reece's incredible charm.

"Boys to class!" The sound of our principal yelling to my brother and my boyfriend boomed louder than the laughter filling our classroom. "And Mr. Kingston change!"

Reece and Pierce took off toward the side entrance of the school disappearing out of our view.

I looked at the shocked face of Harlow and smiled. "You didn't think he had it in him, did you?" I bumped my hip into hers causing her to stumble and laugh.

"Your brother is the biggest bitch I know. That kid wouldn't put himself through any bit of embarrassment unless it was for Emery."

"I mean he did do that talent show, that could have given him major embarrassment if he fucked up."

"Reece doesn't fuck up. That's the thing. It would have never happened. Therefore, he had nothing to fear."

Harlow was stating only facts. Reece always had to be perfect. He's the type of boy to stand in front of the mirror rehearsing his entire performance on repeat until his lines were stuck on a loop in his brain.

"Class, return to your seats." Our teacher pulled our attention to the front of the classroom. All my peers followed the direction of the woman stood at the front of our classroom. Harlow and I included.

After about five minutes of teaching Reece and Pierce entered the classroom one after another.

"Nice of you to finally join us boys. Please get to your seats." Our teacher motioned towards Harlow and I.

Pierce took his seat quickly next to me pulling my chair towards him. Clingy.

I felt his arm slide along the top of my back before I felt his head drop on my shoulder. I sighed and glanced in his direction. Something was bothering him but this wasn't the time or place to ask. I comforted him by running my hand up and down his thigh. It wasn't working though, his body still held limp against mine.

I planted a soft kiss to his head before scribbling a note onto the margin of my notebook. Pierce lifted his head slightly to read the words on the side of the page. He didn't respond. All I got out of him was his head dropping back onto my shoulder. I let him be, just like he always let me be on my bad days.

I filled his notebook with notes, just as he did with mine when I was in the same state as he was in. The teacher always let the two of us have our days. She was used to us not existing on some days. With the past the two of us had, she let us just be. It was easier than putting up a fight with two of the most stubborn people in the world.

The bell ending the school day sounded and Pierce didn't even flinch at the sound coming over the speakers. I lifted his head slightly and pulled him into my arms. He had fallen asleep on my shoulder. I don't know what had him so exhausted but I'd have to get to the bottom of it at some point.

"Babe." I said softly running my fingertips down his cheek to comfort him as he woke.

Pierce only groaned, not waking from his sleepy state.

"Kingston." I kissed the top of his head letting my thumb drift lightly against his stubbled cheek.

"Baby?" Pierce's voice came out in a soft whisper, sending shivers through my body. He was too adorable.

"Well good afternoon sleepy head." Pierce lifted his head from my chest wiping his mouth as he sat up.

"Hi." Pierce's bright white smile took over his face as he stared at me.

"You okay?" I looked at him concerned.

"I'm good." Pierce lifted his hands to his eyes rubbing the tiredness away. He was adorable.

"Okay. Just making sure." I pushed my lips to his quickly before standing up to leave our classroom.

"Charlee?" I looked back at Pierce as I threw my backpack over my shoulder. "Will you go to this dumb dance with me?"

"Of course I will. But only because I have to." I joked, throwing at wink at him.

"Damn right you have to baby girl." Pierce copied my actions by throwing his bag over his shoulder as well. He intertwined his fingers with mine as we left our classroom.

Pierce and I went our separate ways after making our way to our lockers. We gave a simple kiss goodbye before he went off to lacrosse practice and I wandered the halls trying to figure out what I was going to do until the boys practice was over.
