Pierce and I fell asleep in each other's arms. We weren't bothered. I wasn't woken up by extreme nausea like I had been nights before. I actually slept peacefully in his arms. Being in his arms just proved to me that this was right. The fact that I could get an entire night full of sleep with no interruptions just proved that I felt comfortable, at home, when I was with Pierce.

I woke up before Pierce and like all over again I felt my stomach spinning. I quickly left his room to run for the bathroom. I tried not to wake him in the process, but I knew I hadn't been successful when he appeared next to me on the floor.

"Baby girl, what the hell is wrong with you?" Pierce asked concerned as I wiped the back of my hand across my face.

"I don't know." I sighed as I rested my head against to cool surface of the tub. "It's probably just a stomach bug making its course through my body."

"How about you go back to my room, lay down and I'll get you a bucket so you don't have to leave my bed?" Pierce said as he ran his hand up and down my arm.

"Do you have crackers too?" I looked at him. "I always gave the littles crackers when they didn't feel good."

"Of course my love." Pierce kissed my head.

He slid his arms underneath me and carried me back to his room. I curled up in a ball and pulled the blankets over me as he disappeared out his doorway.

Before he returned I fell back asleep. I don't know how long I was out but I woke up to Pierce planting kisses on the top of my head.

"Hey sweetheart." The new pet name felt comforting falling from his lips.

"Hi." I said softly as I reached my arms out to stretch.

"I'm sorry that I have to wake you. I know you need the sleep." Pierce said as he sat down on the edge of the bed. His hand reached up and brushed sweaty strands of hair from my face.

"It's okay." I again spoke softly to the boy before me.

"I've got the lacrosse game to get to. I waited as long as possible to wake you. You can stay here, or go to the game, or go home. I don't care what you do baby girl. I just want you comfortable." Pierce smiled as he continued to stroke my hair.

"Is it a home game?" I looked up at my favorite blue eyes.

"It is."

"I'll go." I sat up slowly dropping my arm onto his shoulder.

"You're cute." Pierce chuckled as he wrapped his arm around me letting my head fall into his chest.

"Be careful?" I questioned him.

I didn't want things to get bad again. His ribs had begun to heal but not to the point they should be at. I knew that he would no longer inflect pain to keep them from healing. But any point of contact from any player on the other lacrosse teams could set him up for failure. It's days like today where I wished he went back to baseball instead of lacrosse. Way less contact, way less worrying for me.

"For you, always. But I really have to go babe." Pierce said lifting my head off his chest to plant a kiss to my lips. "My away jersey is in my closet okay?"

Pierce stood up off the bed. I watched him closely as he pointed at his closet, like I had no idea where it was.

"Can you give me a ride to the school with you?" I questioned him before letting him walk out of his room.

"Baker, you have no clothes here. All you have is your dress." The curly haired boy laughed at me. He just thought I was the cutest damn thing it the world.
