"Why are you obsessed with a boy who cheated on you?" I ran my fingers over my face, wiping away any fallen tears.
"What joy do you get out of ruining a girl's life that has been ruined from the day she was born? You have it all Ally! You have a perfect life. A perfect family. A perfect face. A perfect everything. So why the fuck do you have to constantly degrade me? In no aspect of life am I better than you." I shook my head.
"Pierce loves me. I'm sorry that you can't get that through your head. No amount of proof that you try to show me will change my mind of that. I told you this earlier. If he did cheat, he has to live with that guilt. I don't care anymore. I know that's not what you want to hear but I'm sick of giving you the satisfaction." I threw my hands up in the air.
"Whatever it is you're trying to win Ally, you've won. I'm done being your punching bag. I have a family that I need to focus on. I don't need to deal with all this bullshit anymore."
I turned on my heel to walk away but a male's hand gripped me, stopping me from leaving.
"One last thing," I looked down at the fingers tightly gripped into my skin before returning my gaze back to Ally. "My life isn't the only life you are trying to control. You've done it to everyone in this group, even your own blood, and everyone is pretty fucking sick of it."
"Coming from the girl that literally physically harmed herself to try and win her boyfriend back. Pretty sure that's full on manipulation."
"With or without Pierce I would have physically harmed myself. People like you make people like me feel worthless." I motioned to Pierce, "Case in point right there."
"Excuse you?" Ally for the first time buckled in her attitude.
"You think he hurts himself because of me? You think he's physically harmed himself since having me around? After finally having just me? You are sadly mistaken Ally." I lifted Pierce's shirt to show how the permanent bruise had begun to fade.
"Pierce doesn't deal with his emotions, he never has. I know Pierce better than he knows himself. He will gladly agree with that statement too. Pierce hurts himself when he's unhappy, when he doesn't want to deal with the bullshit someone puts him through anymore. Any emotion that isn't a good one is inflicted by physical harm. That is how Pierce copes. That is how I cope. It's how fucked up people cope." I looked at Pierce whose face was locked on mine. His face read of nothing but peace.
"You Ally, just never took time to pay attention to him. Any logical person would be able to figure out that he physically harmed himself. Reece knew, Grayson knew, Harlow knew. Everyone at this damn table knew but you. And you were his girlfriend." I shook my head.
"That is sad. Not just for him, but for you. You could have helped build a broken man into a fucking unbreakable statue. He could have been yours for life if you just took time to notice him. You were just too focused on you, you, you. Pierce is not just arm candy. He is a human being that exists. A human being who loves unconditionally. Who loves with his whole heart. Who gives his all in every single damn thing he does. He is unbeatable. You missed out on a rare gem being too self-centered."
I smiled at the boy that I would always love.
"But thank you for being self-centered, because now I get the love of my life, for life." I shrugged as I pulled Pierce towards me.
Pierce wrapped his arms tight around me, planting a kiss to the top of my head.
"I fucking love you until death baby girl." Pierce's full lips pushed to mine a few times.
"I love you babe." I rested my head against his chest.
"I apologize for your weekly cafeteria entertainment." I laughed at the words that left Pierce's mouth. "My girlfriend just loves to be a bit of dramatic when proving a point."
I nodded my head. "Sorry."
For the first time all day, I felt fully at peace with all that was my life at Lincoln High School.
