Chapter 14- Stuck With Two

Sia and Aiden agreed instantly. I went towards Shane who was watching a football match. Is this all he ever does?

'Hey Shane can I talk to you for a minute?' I ask sitting beside him.

He put an arm around me and pulled me closer. 'Yes you can.' He said switching off the television.

'Um someone invited me to a restaurant.' I said.

'Guy or girl?' he asked. The guy who was staring at us at the football ground!

'Guy. It's not a date. He has asked me to bring some friends. Will you come?' I asked.

He nodded. He said yes!! That's good!!!!!!!

'Wear something good. Tomorrow at six pm alright?!!' I almost exclaimed in excitement. He just nodded. I shoved through my closet looking for clothes. My room was ready. What????!!!!!!!! I didn't even notice. It is just like I wanted it. It was so cozy looking and awesome. I threw my body on the bed. So soft. No! no time to relax. I have to pick out a good dress. I found white skinny fit jeans. I took it out. Now for a top. A blue top caught my eye. I will tuck it in my jeans. Yeah all done.

I lay on my bed and slept.

The next morning I had breakfast and Shane made me study all day long. In the evening I got dressed and tied my hair into a high ponytail. Sia and Aiden were waiting outside my house. Shane came out after two minutes and took out the car. He wore a white t-shirt and a full sleeved blue shirt. The black jeans added to his good looks. He did something different to his hair. He looks so good. I am staring at him. He looked the other way.

'They both know?' Shane asked me looking at Sia and Aiden.

'Yes they know that you live with me and everything.' I replied. He glared at both of them.

'This shouldn't be leaked.' He said and went inside the car. I sat in the front seat with Shane. The car engine roared. He started the car and drove it swiftly to the HAY RESTAURANT. I saw Luke there with two other guys. Luke waved at me with a wide smile. I look at Shane. His mouth is wide open and he is looking at me.

'HE invited you?' Shane asked emphasizing on the word he.

'Yes.' I said and walked towards Luke and his friends. Shane followed me. Luke patted a seat beside him. I sat there. Shane took a seat beside me and glared at Luke. Luke just gave him a friendly smile.

'I am Luke. You are?' Luke asked.

'Shane.' Shane replied coldly.

Luke also got along with Sia and Aiden. The other two guys were busy on their own. For some reason I think they are gay. One is named Adam and other is Trevor.

After having a nice meal, Adam asked Luke 'Do they drink?'

Luke looked embarrassed. 'I don't think so.' Luke replied.

'Only some people are able to have alcohol.' Luke added.

'Let them try once dude.' Trevor said.

I look at Shane. He doesn't look upset at all. I thought he would get upset. But he doesn't look upset at all.

'Shane have you ever drunk before?' Aiden asked him.

'Its not bad.' Shane replied. What does he mean it isn't bad? Has he drink before?

'Shane you sure you want to do this?' I ask as we all settled in the car.

'Yes.' He said. I think he is upset. First I agreed with Luke and bought Shane to the restaurant. He is totally upset. Now this drinking. He is totally angry but he isn't reacting. I think he is giving me a silent treatment. His one hand was on the steering wheel and the other was on his thighs. I put a hand on his. He didn't react. Not even a small smile. Nor did his cheeks turn red.

'Shane how does alcohol taste?' Sia asked. That was a totally stupid question.

'Bitter and slightly sweet.' Shane replied. Okay!!! He is totally angry!!! He never gives a straight answer!!!

'I am sorry Shane.' I said loud enough for him to hear.

'Why?' he asked.

'For all this.' I said. He understood very well what was I talking about. He forced a smile out of his face and turned his eyes towards the road again.

We reached the park. Adam and Trevor poured the drinks in everyone's glasses. We all sat crossed legged in the green grass. I have never ever drunk before. I went to touch my glass but Shane took it and gulped the drink in my glass in a gulp. Adam poured some more in mine. Shane drank it again. Luke laughed seeing Shane like this and sipped his drink. Adam was stubbornly putting drinks in my glass and Shane was drinking it all. After the fourth glass Shane's head dropped on my lap. His cheeks had turned bright red. Sia got a call from her mom and she rushed away followed by Aiden. I was stuck there between Adam and Trevor who were now laying flat on the ground. Shane's head was on my lap. Luke was still sipping his drink. There was a silence. I looked at the time. I didn't even realize that it was ten pm already. Dad will be furious. Luke got up and walked in a dizzy way. He fell down. He got up and came towards me. He sat beside me and put his head on my shoulders. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!

I took out my mobile and watched a video on how to drive a car. I have to drive these both home. I asked Adam if he wanted a ride but he was like 'Get away. I am good here.' Whatever.

Finally after understanding how to drive a car I removed Shane's head from my lap and softly shoved off Luke off my shoulder. I took the car keys which were clutched in Shane's hands. I opened the back door of the car and dragged Shane towards the car. Good thing he hadn't parked the car far away. Taking Luke to the car wasn't that hard. He got up on his own after I shook him a little. It's different that he fell down ten times on the way to the car. After they both settled inside the car I looked at Adam and Trevor one last time. I tried waking them up but they shoved me away.

I started the car like I saw in the video. I drove the car slowly.

'Luke!!! Where is your home??!!' I shouted at Luke.

'Type happy apartments on the Google maps.' He said sleepily. I stopped the car and took out my phone. I saw a message from dad.

'Erika I wont be able to come home today nor will Michael come home. You and Shane lock up and sleep. Good night honey. Love you.' Yes!!

';ove you too dad.' I texted.

After that I typed happy apartments on the Google maps. It was two kilometers from here. I drove the car hurriedly as the Google maps directed me with the directions. I stopped in front of the happy apartments.

'Luke we are here.' I told him. he woke up and walked out of the car. He fell down again. Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I locked the car and helped Luke walk. I stood with him in the lift holding his arms. His fingers had claimed my hands and his head was on my shoulder. We reached the fifth floor. he was finally home. He handed me the keys of his house. I opened the house. It was a small yet clean and decent house. He sat on the couch. I cannot leave him like this. I untied his shoes and opened them. He was staring at me while I did this. I helped him reach his bedroom. He lay on the bed and slept. The house had a lonely feeling. I walked out of the house and shut the door.

I started the car and looked at Shane. He was still sleeping. I dragged him inside the house. With great difficulty I was finally able to put his six foot two or three inched body on the bed in the attic. I know my room is ready but I have to sleep in the attic. As dad told me, I locked up everything and slept in my bed. Today was a really tiring day. Tomorrow is Monday. Ugh! I hope I wake up in time. I think Luke is lonely.

I can't believe he drinks. That is really bad. Alcohol intake for fifteen year olds is really bad. I don't know why I agreed. I am the reason of all this. If I had refused this all wouldn't have happened but I didn't even agree either. Anyways it is all my fault!!! I will have to apologize to Shane. And Luke too. I don't know why I should apologize to him but something makes me feel that I should apologize to him.
