Chapter 48- The Other Side

I studied for an hour or so. To be honest I can't concentrate. I need to talk to Shane and Luke. I went downstairs to look for Shane but he wasn't there. I searched the whole house. I didn't find him. Where the hell is he? The only place I haven't checked is his room. Should I go to his room!? The last time I went there....

That was that one time. I don't think that will happen again but what if it does? I don't know what to do!!!! I literally don't. Should I go or not?!! ARGH!!!

COME ON ERIKA! GET IT TOGETHER!

I went towards his room. I stood there for two minutes thinking whether I should do this or not. I took a deep breath. I knocked at the door. No response. I knocked again. No response. I slowly pushed the door open. Seriously this guy never locks the door of his room. I peeked inside. I saw Shane and Mae talking to each other at the corner of the room. Is she always here? 

I am not jealous or annoyed. I just don't like to see her pretty and stupid face. 

'Oh, Shane. Literally?' I heard Mae say. Should I eavesdrop? No! 

'Yup.' Shane said stretching his hands. 

'You are impossible dude.' She said shaking her head.

What are they even talking about? That's none of my business. I should just go.

Before I could close the door, Shane spotted me. He gave me a nasty look. I was about to go but his voice rooted me to the spot.

'What do you want?' He asked.

Mae turned and looked at me. She smiled at me cheerfully. Ugh-

'Come in Erika.' She said and signaled me to come inside. I really don't want to-

She gave me an assuring smile. I entered the room and stood near the door. 

Shane examined my face.

'You look scared.' He said walking towards me.

I took a step back and hit the door.

He kept walking towards me.

'Why are you scared Erika?' He asked in his deep voice.

'Shane you are scaring her.' Mae said looking concerned.

Do I look really scared when I am scared?

'Shut it.' He replied and kept walking.

I stood there facing the floor. I don't know why I am scared. I can't really explain how I feel. I am just scared!!! After what happened last time...

I know I act normal in front of him but this room....This is where that happened. I HATE THIS ROOM!!!!!!!!!!! I don't want that to happen again. I know he is standing just in front of me now. I can sense his cold glare on me.

A long finger touched my chin. He lifted up my face with his finger. His eyes were directly looking into mine now. Those brown eyes of his- they are killer.

'What do you want Erika?' He whispered in my ear.

'Mae is here. What are you even doing?' I asked with a sigh.

'I know. I can make her leave if you want.' He said. His finger was just an inch below my lower lip. I gulped.

'I asked you why you are here. Are you here to finish what we started last time?' He asked.

I looked at Mae. She was busy texting someone.

'N-n-no.' I managed to say. He is way too close-

'Why are you stuttering Erika?' He asked.

I couldn't answer.

'I love the effect I have on you.' He whispered in my ear. It literally gave me Goosebumps.

I took a deep breath. Come on! You can do this Erika.

I pushed him away. He looked at me with a smile. It was a sarcastic one.

'I am here to talk to you.' I said sternly.

'What do you wanna talk about?' He asked.

'I know you are mad Shane. I am sorry I didn't tell you.' I apologized.

'Oh. So you think you will say sorry and everything will go back to normal?' He asked and scoffed.

'Yeah.' I replied in a mere whisper.

'Erika, that isn't how things work with me.' He said. He was looking at me angrily.

'Do you even know how much you mean to me?' He asked.

'It hurts when you hide things from me.' He said.

'It hurts that you couldn't trust me.'

'Oh come on!!!!!' I yelled.

He shook his head.

'Moreover I am making your life a living hell right?' He said folding his hands.

'Shane I said that in anger!!' I said.

'You should learn to control your mouth.' He said.

'And your actions.' He added.

'What do you mean by that?' I asked through clenched teeth.

He shrugged.

'I know what you mean! You were the one who kissed me!!!! I wasn't kissing you!!' I yelled.

'Whatever but you were enjoying yourself.' He said with a smirk.

'Shane literally- I hate you.' I said and left the room. How can he do this to me!?!?! He is the reason Luke is mad at me. He kissed me!! I didn't kiss him!!! He is such an asshole! I am really so mad at him! I wanna beat the shit outta him!! First he doesn't accept my apology and then he acts like the kissing thing was my fault. It's useless to talk to him- He is a piece of shit!!

I am abusing him a lot right? Maybe I should stop now. 

I should try talking to Luke now. Maybe he will understand. He will understand right? He is a softie. 

I reached his house and knocked at the door. He opened it after five minutes. I greeted him with a smile but he didn't smile back. He had worn a blank look on his face. Just like Shane. Uh....This isn't looking good for me.

'Hey Luke.' I said putting a hand on his shoulder. He removed my hand. 

'I am sorry Luke.' I said. 

No reply. 

'It didn't happen the way Shane explained it.' I said confidently. 

'It was-'  I was about to complete but I stopped as I felt a sudden pressure on my shoulder.

I was pinned on a wall. Luke's palm was pressed against my shoulder. His other hand was on my waist. His hazel green eyes were filled with lust. I felt my heart racing. I had never seen this side of Luke. This isn't the Luke I know-

WHERE IS THE LUKE I KNOW?!??!?! 

'You think I can't be like Shane?' He asked.

'Huh?' I asked confused. I literally don't know what he is talking about.

Alright- What the hell is happening?
