Chapter 22- Promise

I glanced at Shane, his total focus was on the blackboard. I am such a good for nothing.  I can't focus on anything except how shit my life is. Luke, The moment he just......AH!! I can't imagine that. But I have to say I think I feel differently about him. Since the day I met him, I felt attracted to him. Not to his looks but to his nature. His heart. I just wanted to spend time with him no matter what. He makes me feel secure. I think I like him. I shouted at my dad because of him. IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER! Why will he like me!? I should just forget it.

Shane looked at me confusingly. I looked at the blackboard and tried focusing on the teacher. I CAN'T FOCUS MAN!!!!!!!!!!! All I can think about is Luke's eyes and lips!!! WHY DID HE TRY TO KISS ME BACK THERE!!!!???

'Hey Erika what are you thinking?' Aiden asked breaking my chain of thoughts.

'Oh nothing!' I lied.

'You are thinking about Luke aren't you?' He asked grinning.

'UGH. No' I lied again.

'You are all red. Do you actually like Luke?' He asked excitedly.

'Not really.' I replied trying to sound confident.

'That's good.' He said.

'Exactly why are you saying so?' I asked eyeing him angrily.

'Because you know, If your relationship doesn't work. You will lose him as a friend too.' He explained. 

'Really?' I asked.

'Yeah totally. Do you think he will be your friend after breaking up with you? It will be awkward as fuck.' He said. He is right!

'You are right. I should just forget it.' I said and put my head on the desk.

'You like him right?' He asked again.

'No. I don't!' I replied. 

After the bell rang Shane came towards me and said 'Erika promise me.'

'Promise you what?' I asked. 

'You will never see Luke again.' He said.

'I can't promise you that.' I said.

'You just care about him don't you?' he sneered.

'Shane can't you two just be friends?' I asked.

'No!' He exclaimed angrily.

'If you even care about me one bit, You promise me that you won't see Luke ever again. You will ignore him if you bump into him, No matter what you will just stay away from him.' He said.

'Promise.' I said. This is for the best. The more I see Luke, the more I will fall for him. Shane's face was lit up with a smile.

The following week was a little depressing. Emma and her peeps kept on bullying me. Tore my homework, Wrote depressing things on my locker, Sent creepy boys behind me. If that's not depressing and frustrating I don't know what is. Dude the boys were super creepy! Like zero looks and a whole lot of ego. Ugh!!!

I bumped into Luke many times, I ignored him. He was obviously surprised by my behavior. I can't do anything about that! I promised Shane! Every time I saw Luke, I felt...ARGH there aren't any words how I felt! I felt so good!! Just a glimpse of his face and I forgot my pain!

Shane was in a particularly good mood. We spent loads of time together. Emma that bitch! She has ruined my life!!! She is always hitting on Shane. Shane just gives her his glare which is enough to scare her away.
