'Why are you both sweating?' I asked making a disgusted face. Sweat was dripping off their faces as they breathed heavily.

'Just answer the damn question!' Shane yelled angrily.

'I was uh- having some fun.' I replied shrugging.

'FUN?' Luke asked raising an eyebrow. I gave him a nervous smile.

'How could you stay out so late without telling anyone?' Shane asked.

'Ugh Shane I am not a kid.' I said yawning.

'Yes you are.' Luke said. I threw a surprised look at him.

'We were so worried.' Shane said with a sigh.

'You don't have to worry about me.' I said with a gentle smile.

'Who were those two people?' Luke asked me.

'My friends.' I replied.

'Aren't they too old to be your friends?' Shane asked me.

I shrugged.

'They looked like they came out from a circus or something.' Shane hissed.

'Pah-lease. They looked awesome. Are you blind or what?' I asked and faked a laughed.

Shane stuck out his tongue at me. I did the same to him.

'Erika just tell me where you were.' Luke said rubbing his forehead. There is no way I am telling them both that I got a job. It will be embarrassing. Like, I spent all my allowance in less than a month. Dad always asked me to save some but here I am! I am so irresponsible.

'You both need to stop treating me like a kid.' I said crossing my hands.

'You are a kid, so we treat you like one.' Shane sneered.

'I am not a kid!!!' I yelled at both of them.

'I need my space!!! You both can't invade my personal space!!!' I shouted.

'You were out all that time doing something personal?' Shane asked me looking confused.

I eyed him angrily.

'Where were you? No one is going anywhere till you answer my question.' Shane said.

Luke nodded.

'What are you both huh? My DAD?' I asked angrily.

'Whatever.' They both said together.

'FINE! I was out with some friends!' I lied.

'Which friends?' Luke asked.

'Friends from my old school.' I replied.

They both looked at each other.

'Why weren't you picking up my call?' Luke asked.

'My phone is dead.' I replied showing him my switched off phone.

Luke sighed. It was a sigh of relief.

'We were so worried! We searched everywhere for you!' Shane shouted annoyed.

'That explains the sweat.' I replied laughing.

'You could have just taken the car.' I told Shane.

'The car ran out of gas.' Luke replied instead of Shane. I laughed.

'You hungry?' Shane asked me.

'Yeah.' I replied.

Luke wrapped his hand around my shoulders and pulled me closer. Three of us walked together. We weren't talking or something. We were just WALKING. I glanced at Shane's face. His sweaty face was dried by now. He was walking with the usual blank look on his face.
