Chapter 47- Angry Birds

'Excuse me sir. Is there any problem?' Mr. Jay asked approaching us. He gave me a brief glare.

'It is personal.' Luke answered. 

'Could you please take it outside then? Why disturb the other customers?' Mr. Jay said forcing a smile.

'Sure.' Shane replied.

'Please pay before you leave.' Mr. Jay said smiling. Shane seems totally annoyed. 

'Sure.' Shane replied and took out his wallet.

Luke grabbed my wrist and took me outside.

'You let him kiss you?' Luke asked. His eyes looked at me with anger and pain. WHAT HAVE I DONE??

'How couldn't you tell me?' He asked. I FEEL SO WEIRD!!!

'What was I supposed to tell you?' I told him.

'That you don't love me.' He replied. EXCUSE ME!?

'You love Shane.' He added. My throat was thick with tears now.

'You couldn't even tell me about what he did.' He said.

'If you hadn't done anything wrong, you wouldn't hesitate telling me.' He said with a sigh. It wasn't a sigh a relief. It was a sigh which indicated that he was- Sad. Worried. Anxious. Stressed. THIS IS JUST BECAUSE OF ME! ME!!! ME!!!!!

'I thought you didn't keep things from me.' He said.

'Luke. I don't.' I said and tried to hold his hand. He pulled his arm away. He never did that before!!! I am gonna burst into tears any moment now!

'I don't believe you.' He said shaking his head.

'You have to!' I exclaimed. I am trying so hard to hold back my tears!

'I can't.' He said. He turned away from me and started to walk away.

I called him out several times but-

He didn't turn around. He kept on walking till he was out of my sight. As I saw his figure fade away, big and fat drop of tears escaped my eyes.

'HEY! YOU!' I heard Shane yell. I hurriedly wiped my tears. 

'You work here?' He asked pointing at the bakery.

'Yeah. I do.' I replied.

'You didn't tell me!' He exclaimed. GOSH- 

'YUP.' I replied.

'Why!?' he whined.

I didn't reply.

'Erika- fuck! Don't you trust me?' He asked.

'I- ugh. I didn't tell you because you would tell dad.' I answered honestly.

'Why would I tell him?' He asked.

I didn't reply.

'You are earning this money to get into college right?' He asked.

'Uh...' I said thinking of an excuse.

'RIGHT?' He asked again.

'Um- No.' I finally said.

'You spent your allowance.' He stated.

'Uh-yeah.' I replied.

'ERIKA STALLION HART!' He yelled at me.

'You know my middle name?' I asked surprised.

'Does that really matter now?' He asked.

'Uh- YEAH!' I replied.

'I am just disappointed. I feel bad when you hide things from me.' He said shaking his head. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'If dad came to know he would give me a long and boring lecture!!' I snapped at him.

'You deserved to be lectured!' He snapped back.

'Why are you like this?' I yelled.

'Because you are an idiot!!!' he yelled back.

'You just go and blabber about everything to dad. That's why I didn't tell you this!!!' I said.

'So, you don't trust me?' He asked.

'I don't know!' I replied.

'What did you tell Luke now?! He is all mad at me! I heard what you told him! You told him that I went to your room when you were half- naked. Like what the actual fuck Shane! I wanted my phone! I didn't want a make out session with you! You are literally turning my life into a living hell!!!' I yelled.

Wait- What did I just say?

Shane looks like someone took out his heart out and smashed it into pieces. That someone is ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am such a piece of shit!

'Uh- I need to go.' He said. He looks all lost.

He walked towards his bike.

I followed him.

'We live at the same place. Take me with you.' I said.

'No.' he replied.

'Why?' I asked.

He sighed.

'Erika, you shouldn't be with people who are turning your life into a living hell.' He said smiling. He wore his helmet and rode away.

There go my good days.

This is my first real fight with Luke. I should text him.

'Hey can we talk?'

No.

'Pwease?'

No.

'Come on Luke! Please!'

There is nothing left.

'Luke just listen to me!'

I don't really want to.

'Luke you don't know the whole thing.'

No reply. 

'Luke we should really talk.'

No reply.

I flooded him with messages but he didn't reply. He left me on seen! Like-

With a heavy heart, I walked home. I don't think I have the strength to walk. But I don't think that Luke will appear out of nowhere and give me a piggy back ride. I miss him.

As I entered, I saw Shane watching a soccer match.

'Can we talk?' I asked.

'NOPE.' He replied.

'Fine.' I replied and walked up to my room.

This all is so frustrating. I feel so stupid!!!! I feel so guilty!! I am a horrible friend! I am a horrible girlfriend too!! 

I should study. It might help me think about something else, other than those two angry birds-
