Chapter 43- The Cool Granny

As I went to Luke he greeted me with a smile. He threw a smile at Shane too which Shane didn't return.

'What happened Erika? Have you been crying?' Luke asked me with a concerned look on his face. 

'No.' I replied as I touched my cheeks to see if there were some tears. No. The tears had already dried.

'Then why are there tear stains on your cheeks?' He asked raising his left eyebrow.

'What? There aren't any tear stains on my cheeks.' I said laughing.

'She has been crying because-' Shane said. I put a hand on his mouth to stop him from completing.

Shane removed my hand from his mouth and held both of my hands with his. 

'Because she was confused whether she deserves you or not.' he completed and freed my hands.

'Ow.' I whined glaring at him.

Luke's smile disappeared.

'Why do you think like that?' He asked me. I didn't reply.

'You totally deserve me.' He said.

'I on the other hand totally don't know if I am worth you.' He added.

Shane groaned.

'Don't you have school or something?' I snapped at Shane.

'Today's Saturday crazy.' Shane replied.

I ignored Shane. 

'You are totally worthy of me.' I said and threw my arms around his laying body.

'Couples.' Shane muttered.

'I love you Erika. I will do my best to make you happy.' Luke said.

'I know you will. I love you more.' I said sobbing. I am so emotional-

'I love you more than more.' He said. Does that even make any sense? I love it when he says things which don't make any sense. 

'I love you-' I was about to complete when Shane yelled 'Yeah yeah! I get it! You both love each other VERY VERY VERY much! Now just SHUT IT!' He walked out of the door. 

Luke held my chin and bought my chin closer.

'If that nurse comes in-' I said hesitatingly.

'Who cares?' He said as he took over my lips.

'LUKE, MY BOY!' Someone boomed. The MY sounded more like MAH!

We both flinched as my lips left the hold of his. I looked at the person who burst into the room. It was a plump woman with white hair, her skin was going all loose because she getting old, she was pretty short and her white hair was tied into a tight bun. She held a black suitcase in her hand. 

'Sorry did I interrupt something?' She asked looking at the both of us.

'No granny.' Luke said shaking his head. 

'Luke, Luke, Luke. Did you just get more handsome my boy?' She said ruffling his hair.

Luke turned red and gave her a smile.

'Pretty girl may I know your name?' She asked.

'It's Erika.' I replied with a smile.

'I suppose you both are DATING.' she said emphasizing the word DATING. 

Me and Luke looked at each other. 

'No.' we both answered together.

'Then what was that you both were doing when I entered?' she asked.

'Uh-' I said and looked at Luke.

He shrugged. I didn't have an answer. 

'Oh come on! I am a cool granny! You can tell me!' She said enthusiastically. She is pretty active for her age.

'Yeah uh-um We are da-dating.' Luke managed to say.

'AH!' She said and clapped her hands to her mouth.

'I told you! Some pretty girl will be yours one day!' She exclaimed.

'Granny-' Luke said rubbing his head. He is totally embarrassed. His face says it all.

I personally think his grandma is pretty cute. She is so active and amazing!

'You are so beautiful honey.' She said pinching my cheeks.

I like her even more now-

I smiled at her.

'Would you like to see something?' She asked.

'Yeah sure!' I exclaimed.

She placed her black suitcase on Luke's bed. It landed on Luke's leg.

'Ow!' He groaned.

'Sorry honey.' She said and removed the suitcase from Luke's leg. 

'It's alright.' He said biting his lips. 

She took out a thick and old looking album. 

I got up from the stool to give her a seat. 

'You are such a dear.' She said pinching my cheeks.  

'Grandma is that what I think?' Luke asked. He looked kinda terrified. 

'Yes. It's the album which contains all your chubby photographs.' She replied with a satisfied smile.

'The pictures of when I was SIX?' He asked.

'Yes.' She replied.

'You can't show them to her!' He exclaimed.

'Yes I can. Erika would like to see them right?' She asked me.

'I would love to.' I replied and winked at Luke.

'For god's sake granny just put it back. Don't show it to her!' He exclaimed.

'Why don't you want me to see them?' I asked him.

'I look stupid AF that's why.' He replied.

'Luke, language.' Grandma said.

I chuckled silently. 

Luke got quiet. His grandma opened the album. WHOA-

Is this really him? I can't believe this-
