T1 • Chapter 9: The Twisted Effect

Three Police Officers went in wearing their police uniforms. One of them went to the window where Anastasia Caez got pushed. Louise is still on the same spot, at hindi ko maintindihan ang ekspresyon niya. If she will be questioned I highly doubt, she'll plead not guilty: she will confess. Hindi ito umaalis sa pagkakaupo nito sa monobloc chair. Is she really corrupted? Why?

"Officer!" I heard Raishin said. Lumapit ang isang pulis sa amin.

"Percival. Ano ang ginagawa mo rito?" tanong nito sa kasama ko, at bahagyang napatingin sa akin. I was hesitant to smile because he suddenly thought I am Raishin's girlfriend. Parang gusto ko tuloy alisin ang ngisi sa mukha nito.

"She is a friend. Mishanielle? Police Officer Alexander Ruiz. Sir, this is Mishanielle Marvel." Isang pilit na ngiti ang kumawala sa labi ko. This Police Officer cannot hold his own thought, and Raishin's grin made it even worse.

Men are despicable!

"Bakit parang dumaan ang isang malakas na ipo-ipo sa loob?" tanong nito sa amin. My classmates slash Mr. Punctuality, Mr. Raishin Percival started explaining. "We were in the area when this incident happened. Kasalukuyan nangangalap pa po kami ng impormasyon. But Louise Delgado will confess, Sir."

Bakit parang ang bilis naman ata nitong magpaliwanag? Lumingon kaming tatlo sa kinaroroonan ni Louise.

"Ano ba ginawa niya?" hindi makapaniwalang napatingin ako rito. Is he joking? If he didn't see the body below that window, I'll probably reconsider he might be dumb. Anong klaseng tanong 'yan? Did he get his badge for nothing? or is he new?

"I guess the assigned Police Inspector will fill up the details." We all looked at the door when a man suddenly speaks. He might be in 5'7 tall, and in good health? I guess. Hindi siya nakasuot ng uniporme nila, at may hawak siyang maliit na Notebook. As for his face, he has a visible beard and mustache, he is brown in skin tone and eye color, plus the black hair na may grasa- hindi ba siya nagsashampoo o hindi siya naliligo?

"Inspector Barredo, Sir!" sambit nitong pulis na kausap lang namin kanina. Right, I remembered him in Raishin's simulation. He is Police Inspector Bernard Barredo, and it looks like he oversees the situation.

"Officer Ruiz? Arrest that girl!" turo nito kay Louise. Nagtaka pa ang pinag-utusan niya kaya binanggit niya pa iyon ng pangalawang beses. Ngayon lang ako nakakita ng isang Police Officer na may sayad.

"Please, save yourself from causing another trouble. You are arrested as the prime suspect of Anastasia Caez's death," Inspector Bernard Barredo said. Ang ipinagtaka ko ay kusang binigay ni Louise ang dalawa niyang kamay para posasan ito. If Raishin really said she is corrupted, then she has no reason to run or plead.

"You committed a crime. Wala ka bang sasabihin?" Police Officer Ruiz- as I remembered said. Isa pa ito, pati daloy ng isip niya may sayad talaga.

"I will confess that I kill Anastasia, but I would like to have another stick before you detain me. Ubos na kasi 'yung laman ng pakete ko. Meron po kayong reserba?"

These two are unconditionally connected. Pareho silang may sayad. Hindi ito pinansin ng pulis at hinila siya palabas ng kwarto. This is somehow fast, walang paligoy-ligoy at mabilis agad na identify ang salarin. Ang problema lang ngayon ay hindi ko alam kung bakit iba ang kinikilos ng dalaga at bakit iyon sinabi ni Raishin.

"So, who is this lovely girl beside you?" Mr. Barredo asked Raishin, and I looked at him. He froze as if he saw a ghost. He then thought something that gave me a disturbance. What the heck did he mean by that?

"Misha Marvel, Sir."

He made an 'o' shape on his mouth and looked at Raishin. Suddenly, his thoughts changed and now, parang walang nangyari. "I am glad to meet you, Misha. Hindi ka ba binibigyan ng sakit ng ulo nitong kasama mo? Hindi ba?" I eventually growled in annoyance as a response. "Right, definitely no. Walang nakakatagal sa lalaking iyan, dahil sa minsan uunahan ka niyang magsalita o hindi talaga siya magsasalita."
