M I S H A N I E L L E

Did you ever think of how far people could go once they fuel their determination? It will flow long, long way and far away- unstoppable, unbreakable, and undeniably brings tons of uncalculated events.

You see, people will always bet their lives in exchange for something they want- who wouldn't? All of us are tempted to live beyond what we currently have. We do anything just to ascend our ranks, we strive hard to earn, and we step on others to lift ourselves up. There are also people who made a deal with the devil just to experience wealth. And yet, how long can the fuel they pump last?

Driven by strong determination to bend things straight, to make things right, and to make sure no one will suffer again. How far do they go before they get caught?

"Robert Barton, 34-years-old, based on the driver's license we retrieved in his belongings. He is also the owner of the Candy Shop. Time of death is between 11:00 to 11:40 am. The initial cause of death is the aggressive force of incision on the body's throat by a kitchen knife." Inspector Barredo said while holding his small notebook on his left hand and a pen on the right.

Remarkable. Whoever did it, I liked the use of external force- perfectly stabbing the victim with the absence of disturbing the setting.

"Are you sure Inspector?" I asked him.

"It's just an initial statement. The body will be sent to the laboratory for Autopsy."

"There is no need, Sir. We already knew what happened" Teressa suddenly spoke and our attention went to her- what? tinaasan ko siya ng kilay ng tumingin siya sa akin. Ano na naman ito, Teressa?

"Misha will state her observation as per advice by the Captain in charge." Bumalik ang tingin nila sa akin. The heck, Teressa Marie Penry!

"Uhm...I don't think so?" I wasn't even sure of what should I say. We are in the kitchen right now and the body is still there.

"With Noesis, this will be as easy as slicing a cake!" Kenzo exploded his overflowing excitement. Secondly, I am not very positive with my stances, and lastly, ayaw ko- nakakahiya.

"So? Misha? Hinihintay ng lahat ang pahayag ko patungkol sa sitwasyon. Ano ang suhesyon mo?"

I let out a deep sigh after hearing Inspector Barredo's statement that says he'll follow my lead.

"I just thought," It came out almost as a whisper but seeing Elizabeth's eyes started to throw darts at me, I gulped twice. "Well, I am thinking there is more than one culprit in this murder."

Kenzo and Teressa made an 'o' shape using their mouths, Elizabeth made her lips straight and Inspector Barredo narrowed his eyebrows. I told them the reason why, and after 20 minutes of the unintentional conference, we marched our way out of the kitchen. The shop is still crowded but there are policemen in the area. The girl named Elise is sitting at a monobloc chair while someone is standing beside her and looking at us as we step out of the crime scene. He is wearing the same apron the girl has. In conclusion, they both work here.
