28. Ivy

Previously: At JJ and Emily's after party, Spencer proposed to you and you said yes. It's now the next day.

Your Mom told you that she was staying in Virginia for a couple days so you took the opportunity to spend as much time with her as you could. Spencer told her that she could stay in his old apartment so she wouldn't have to stay in a hotel.

Day One

You, Spencer, and your Mom decided to meet up for breakfast. It's around nine-thirty.

Y/N: "So, when did you get here?"

Mom: "A day or two ago, your friend Penelope flew me out."

Y/N: "How long did you know about Spencer wanting to propose."

Mom: "It was after you had came back from wherever you were. He asked me two days later."

Spencer: "What is this? An interrogation?"

Y/N: "No, I'm just curious is all."

Mom: "Spencer dear, does your Mother know about my Y/N?"

Spencer's face fell a little bit. You look up at him.

Y/N: "She's getting worse isn't she?" You question.

Spencer: "Yeah." He said below a whisper.

Y/N: "It's okay, I'm here for you always, you know that right?"

Spencer: "Yeah, I know. Could we change the topic please?"

Mom: "Have you both thought about a date yet?"

Y/N: "No, not yet."

Mom: "How about May seventeenth? It seems like a nice date."

Y/N: "We'll talk about it later, right Spence?"

Spencer: "Right."

The waitress comes over.

Waitress: "Hello, my name's Ivy and I'll be your server for this morning. What can I get you all to drink?"

Spencer: "Could you give us a moment to look over..." He stops when he looks at the waitress.

Y/N: "Are you okay?"

Ivy: "I'll give you a couple minutes to look over the menu." She says then walks away.

Spencer: "She looks exactly like Maeve."

Y/N: "You don't mean the-love-of-your-life-Maeve right?"

Spencer: "I do."

Mom: "Who's Maeve?"

Y/N: "Someone Spencer met before me."

Mom: "Oh, okay."

Y/N: "We'll talk about this later, can you get through breakfast?"

Spencer: "I don't know."
