In Between

8. Inconveniece

Previously: You, JJ, Emily, and Penelope were over at your place where you told them a past you'd like to forget about. Everyone spent the night, it's now the next morning.

You woke up trying to catch your breath, you had a nightmare. Funny coincidence huh? You let your past out in the open and you happen to have a nightmare about him choking you till you almost pass out. Eventually you regain a steady breathing pattern and you get up. Penelope is still sound asleep, you walk over to your room and knock lightly to see if Emily and JJ were awake. They were.

Emily: "Come in."

You open the door and walk in.

Y/N: "Please tell me y'all didn't do anything in my bed.."

JJ: "Nope, we're fully clothed under here, except our shoes, those are off."

Y/N: "Thank god."

Emily: "When did you wake up?"

Y/N: "A minute or two ago, what about you guys?"

JJ: "We've been up for about an hour?" She questions looking at Emily.

Emily: "Yeah, about an hour."

Y/N: "And you guys stayed? You could've went home to shower and gotten ready for today."

JJ: "We didn't wanna leave without saying anything."

Y/N: "Ah gotcha, I'll wake up Penelope, do you guys want coffee for the road? I have disposable coffee cups."

Emily: "That sounds great, thank you." She says with a smile.

JJ: "I'd love some, thank you Y/N." She says with a glimmering smile.

You nod and walk to the living room where Penelope is peacefully sleeping on the couch.

Y/N: "Hey Penelope? It's time to wake up." You say gently nudging her.

Penelope: "Mmm." She says in a sleep-ish tone.

Y/N: "Wake up Pen, I'm gonna make coffee, or do you want tea?"

Penelope shoots straight up.

Penelope: "You'd make me tea?"

Y/N: "Yeah, I'm making JJ, Emily and I coffee and offered them disposable cups."

Penelope: "I'd like some tea, do you have Earl Grey?"

Y/N: "Yep! I'll make it now." You say flashing her a smile.

Penelope thanks you. You walk over to your stove and throw some water in a kettle and wait for it to boil. You turn on your coffee maker and make a pot of coffee. You take out three medium disposable cups. You call out Emily and JJ to finish making their coffee. Once the kettle goes off you pour some water in the disposable cup. You place the tea bag in and shut the lid with the string hanging out.

Everyone leaves with their coffees, or in Penelope's case a tea, and goes back to their places. You jump in the shower. Then you get dressed for the day. You throw on a black turtleneck tucked into gray dress pants. You throw on black Doc Martins along with a small gold chain. You straighten your hair and do a middle part.
