In Between

22. New Colleagues

Previously: Nick is finally dead and it was an electrifying experience(pun intended).

It's been about a week, and ever since that day Spencer had been messaging you whenever he was at your door. Today you decided you were going to start back at the BAU. You and Spencer talked about it, and you ultimately decided you were ready.

You missed everyone on the team. You wanted to get back into your old routine. So, you set your alarm to 4:30 in the morning the night before, and just like clockwork your phone rang. You groaned and shut off the alarm. You hesitantly got up and turned on your shower. Your shower routine took you around an hour, then half an hour to dry yourself off and get ready.

You had picked out a white t-shirt that said "Hard Rock Cafe" on the front along with a black belt and jeans. You picked your black Doc Martins to complete the outfit. You decided to straighten your hair and let your hair part naturally. You sprayed perfume and threw on some makeup. After attaching your holster and gun, you woke up Spencer so he could shower and get ready. You let him know you were letting Harley out to use the bathroom.

After Harley did her business, you let her in and gave her fresh water and food. She ate and drank. Spencer came out of your room fully dressed.

Y/N: "Good morning Spencer." You say with a smile.

Spencer: "Good morning Y/N, are you excited for today?"

Y/N: "Yes! What if we brought the team donuts? Kind of like as a thank you for splitting our work load and because we love them?"

Spencer: "That sounds like a great idea my love."

You felt the butterflies like you felt before and smiled a bit.

Y/N: "I'm driving, get your go-bag."

He nods and grabs his go-bag. You grab yours along with your purse and keys then shoving your badge in your back pocket. You gave Harley a few pets and said goodbye. After getting into the car and buckling you drove to Dunks and ordered two dozen donuts and drinks for yourself and Spencer.

There wasn't a whole lot of traffic so driving to the BAU wouldn't take long. Spencer helped with the donuts while you locked the car. You flashed your badge then took the donuts so Spencer could flash his. He opened the door for you so you could walk in with ease.

He pressed the elevator button then after two minutes they opened and you both stepped inside. It reached to the floor you needed to go in and you saw a huge group of people in the bullpen. Excitement rushed through your body. Spencer once again opened the door.

Y/N: "Everyone's favorite profiler is officially back in the building!" You shouted.

Everyone's heads turned, most of them were familiar faces but there was two you didn't know. Derek wasn't there which was strange but you brushed it off. You saw a woman around six foot, she had short dark brown hair. She wore a maroon blouse, a black dress jacket,  black jeans, a small black belt and a watch.

Then there was a man also around six foot. He wore more casual clothes. He wore a dark gray t-shirt and an open dark blue button-up over his shirt. He also had dark blue jeans along with a black watch. You look over at Spencer and he had a smile, he recognized them both.
