Stuck With Me

It was almost 10pm. My first session with Baekhyun was over and though I was extremely pumped for it, I was also quite tired. He offered me a ride back to the dorms but I didn't want to trouble him. They weren't that far away anyway. Plus, imagine if someone caught us together? Getting caught in a scandal would definitely not be good for the company nor for both of us.

As I reached the dorms, I passed by a Korean snack shop that sold corndogs. I remember Josh telling me about it when we reunited and decided to see if it was really that delicious, and indeed it was. The taste of cheese and meat filled my mouth as I closed my eyes and enjoyed the delicacy. Korea really had the best street snacks.

However, my moments of joy were disrupted by the sound of the very person who told me about the corndogs before. His voice was quite distant but it was no doubt him. I turned and saw Josh talking to a familiar girl. Is that Melissa? I know that I said I would move on from him but their conversation intrigued me. They were both wearing masks to hide their identity but I could tell Josh was feeling very irate at the moment. His eyes were showing signs of irritation and frustration. Hence, I let curiosity get the better of me and decided to get closer to eavesdrop on their conversation.

I hid behind a large tree since they were talking in a park. The place was quite deserted, probably cause everyone was at home at this time.

"Listen Melissa, I'm done acting. I can't take this anymore and it's hurting my relationship with Amber. She ran away from me when I saw her after the news got out! I saw her right here in Korea! She came here to find me and because of that stupid picture, she doesn't want to see me anymore!"

"Please, Joshua? You know what will happen to me and my group's reputation if news gets out that we aren't dating!"

"So? You were the one who forced yourself on me so you're supposed to take the blame for it. Why do I need to suffer because of your mistake?" So... they weren't dating? He wasn't willingly kissing her?

"Come on Josh, why do you still care about that bitch anyway? Plus, are you really ready to ruin my life again just like how Amber did?" What the- who gave her the right to call him "Josh"? And me? A bitch? Please, look at yourself girl.

"I TOLD YOU NOT TO CALL ME THAT. ONLY AMBER CAN AND HOW DARE YOU CALL HER A BITCH?" I saw Josh's hands clench tight into fists and his eyes were fuming. Should I stop him before he does something stupid?

"Okay, Joshua. I am sorry for kissing you and creating the scandal. But the fact that the person who took the photographs didn't post about you pushing me away already shows that fans support us being together. Probably cause of our good looks. We fit well together so you should consider me and forget about that bitch."

"I told you NOT. TO. CALL. HER. THAT." I could see Josh trying his best to control himself but what Melissa did next was really out of line. She started to stroke his fists as though trying to calm him down and tried to kiss him. Are you serious? She is forcing herself onto him AGAIN?

Before Josh had the chance to react, I came out of my hiding spot and grabbed Melissa's hands, pushing her away from my man. Now that I knew the whole story, there was no freaking way I was gonna let this immature ass girl ruin our relationship again.

"Get. The. Freak. Away. From. Him." I emphasised each word with a harsh tone as I stood between the stunned pair. However, it didn't take long for Melissa to recover from it.

"Oh look, the bitch is here. Well then, since I'm outnumbered here, I'll take my leave. If you really want to deny the rumours then go ahead Joshua. But remember, it won't be the last time you'll see me." With that, she strutted away. Josh was about to go and punch her but I turned around before he could move an inch and his eyes land on mine.

"Amber... I... I'm sorry. I should have looked for you earlier. I shouldn't have left you again, I'm really sorry. I'm sorry for everything." He hesitantly took my hands in his as he made circles on them gently with his thumbs. I wanted to hug him and tell him that it was alright. But my anger from earlier had not fully subsided and I harshly pull away from his touch. I wasn't mad at him, but I needed to calm myself down before talking to him. There are just too many emotions in me and I didn't want to explode in front of the one I loved.

"Come to the bench over there after five minutes," I informed him then walked with quick steps to sit on that bench. I started taking deep breaths and reflected on everything that happened in the past few days.

I came to Korea to find a job and Joshua. I got into a company with one of my favourite idols as my mentor, found out about Josh's and Melissa's dating scandal and ran away from him without listening to his story. And here I am after realising the truth and how I almost lost someone so important to me cause of my emotions. "Ugh, why was I so stupid? Why didn't I hear him out when he saw me then? Why the freak did I not trust him enough to know that he wouldn't do such a thing as cheating on me? What the hell is wrong with you Amber?" I facepalmed myself and took deep breaths once again. I really am the type of person who needs to think about how stupid I am before talking to someone.

"Cute," I heard someone's voice behind me. I turned and stood straight up once I realised it was Josh. He was grinning widely and chuckling. "Y-yah! How much did you hear? I told you not to come until after five minutes!" I furrowed my eyebrows at him but he knew I wasn't seriously mad anymore.

"Well, I heard from when you said "Ugh" until you facepalmed yourself. Also, it's already been five minutes." My face flushed at his words. "That's basically everything!"

"Hehe, don't worry Amber. I guess now I know how it feels like to not be trusted..." Josh looked away as he rubbed his nape. I recalled the Wayne incident and giggled too. I then walked to stand in front of him so that the bench was no longer between us. I apologised for not hearing him out earlier and promised to always talk about our problems and doubts first before assuming anything. He did the same and promised to never leave me again.

"Even if a sea comes between us, I'll make sure to never lose contact with you. I'll make sure to call you every day and unite with you once again." I smiled at his words as I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him down to connect our lips. These lips that I had so longed for. His touch and kisses that I've missed. I was never letting him go ever again.

"From now on, you are stuck with me," I said playfully as our lips separated. He chuckled as he finished my words, "So I guess I'll be sticking with you". This time, he was the one who kissed me oh so tenderly.
