On The Road To Fame

Several months have passed since the scandal took place. I was in the filming location, finishing up the music video of the title track of my upcoming debut album. There was going to be ten tracks in the album, each one giving a different mood. My album was called "Colours". Just like how each emotion has its respective colour: Happiness is yellow, sadness is blue, etc. Each song of mine has a respective emotion. Baekhyun suggested that I debut with this kind of album so that I can show my ability to convey feelings through singing, which was what many rookie artists may have problems with. My debut was only in a month's time so I was super hyped. Once Baekhyun wrapped up the last scene, I thanked all of the staff including him and grabbed my stuff.

As I was leaving the building where the filming took place, I checked my messages and saw one from my boyfriend. I grinned and immediately opened my chat with him:

Josh:

Love, are you done with the filming?

Amber:

Yup! I just left the building.

Josh:

Okay, I'm on my way. Just wait for me around there yeah?

Amber:

Josh, you really don't have to keep fetching me after my work. I know you're busy too and you need rest so that you'll have energy for the rest of your schedules.

Josh:

You're the only one who can recharge my energy back to 100% every day :)

I smiled at his words and sat at a nearby bench while waiting for him. At that moment, I received an overseas call and grinned at the number before picking it up.

"Mildred! I've missed you bestie!"

"Amber! How have you been? I've missed you too! How is your debut album coming along? And your, you know, lovey-dovey hubby?" She asked suggestively. I chuckled, knowing perfectly well that she was very likely winking on the other side. I updated her on everything that has been happening in the past month since we last chatted. We texted as much as possible, but it was always easier to share with each other our problems through calls so we did our best to ensure we did just that, even if we only could on a monthly basis.

Mildred was really overjoyed when she found out about me getting the job and my boyfriend back. I had also been giving her intel on what has been going on. Such as my long days at work or whenever I fight with Josh. Usually, they were stupid fights so she just laughs about them when I tell her.

Josh and I didn't really fight that much, since he was always giving in to me and doing so much. But we would fight when he gets jealous at times since I have to work with other male artists and backup dancers. They were childish fights which he eventually got better at not causing, but the envy was always visible on his face. Well, at least he greets my colleagues after calming down so it wasn't an issue.

However, there was once when Josh fought with me about why I didn't get jealous when he had plans with female colleagues and I seriously just facepalmed. I get that jealousy proves that one is in love but I trust him that much to know that he would never cheat on me. After we fought about it that time, he never brought it up again cause he knew he would be testing my loyalty. Plus, it ended up with a make-out session to prove that I knew he was too into me to leave me for another woman.

Whenever Mildred hears about these petty fights, she just screams in joy and exclaims how I'm so lucky to be having a K-drama-like romance. Not that I was complaining, it really did feel as though I was in a drama. Ever since we met, our relationship has gone on a rollercoaster ride before reaching the calm ending where we are finally able to catch our breaths.

"By the way, are you planning to move in with Joshua soon? After all, you are gonna get even busier once you debut," Mildred asked. I had thought about it and Josh had even asked me to move into his apartment since it wasn't too far from both of our companies. However, I rejected his offer since I wanted to focus on my debut first. Now that I was finally going to, he would probably ask me again, wouldn't he?

"Well, I haven't really thought about it much with my schedule and all. But, should I really? I heard that more problems come when a couple lives together..." I was hesitant since I've seen many couples break up after living under the same roof.

"Come on Amber. With a relationship like yours and Joshua's, you guys will be one of those couples who grow closer to each other after living together."

"I'll think about it a bit more and I'll do it when I'm ready."

"Urgh, you're so boring Amber. Which girl wouldn't want to live with someone as amazing as THE Byun Joshua?" I giggled at her remark. She then said she had to go on a date with her boyfriend and I told her to have fun before hanging up. Yup, Mildred has a boyfriend now and it's Officer Zeph as you've guessed it.

"Amber!" I turned to find my boyfriend walking towards me. I grabbed my bag and ran to hug him. He was busy with his own promotions for his new album as well so I haven't seen him in a while either. Although he makes time to see me every time, he couldn't easily just fetch me from work every day since I didn't have to go out as much anymore. After we were done recording the songs and most of the music video, Baekhyun told me to rest at home for the last week before we finally finished recording that last part of the music video. He has suggested coming over to my place but, I really didn't want him to travel all the way there then back every single day. Plus, he had a lot of promoting activities on most of the following mornings.

Josh hugged me back and we started walking with our fingers intertwined. Since we both ended earlier than usual and he didn't have anything on the next morning, we decided to take a stroll at the nearby park before sending me off to my dorm. As we enjoyed the sound of crickets chirping and the sight of stars, Josh asked the question I knew was coming.

"Love, since you are gonna debut soon and you're almost done with preparing for your album, have you thought about moving in with me?" I sighed as we sat on a bench, with my head on his shoulder, closing my eyes.

"Actually, I have. I really do think it'll be fun and I love the fact that I'll be able to stay close to you more. But, I don't know. I just don't want you to think my lifestyle is horrible or something. I mean, I suck at cooking and I'll probably be blasting music 24/7 if I'm free. What if you think I'm too much?"

"Hmm... I've actually thought about that as well. But you know what I'm gonna say every time I see one of your new habits?" I opened my eyes and faced him, "What?"

"You're cute."

I smack his arm. "Come on Josh, I'm being serious here."

He chuckled, "I am too! What I'm saying is, I will love you no matter what kind of weird habits you display to me. Even if you are someone who likes pouring milk first then the cereal."

"Aww, thanks Josh. And just for your information, I pour the cereal first then milk."

"Looks like we are gonna be just fine," he smiled and I laughed at his joke. He always does this kind of thing whenever I felt insecure and has never failed to stick to what he said. So in the end, I agreed to move in with him and boy was he exhilarated by it.

"I have already moved some of my stuff so that you have space for yours when you arrive."

"Well, that was quick. I didn't even agree at that time yet you already prepared my space?" I giggled at his over-enthusiasm and he just laughed along with me. Oh, what would I do without you, Joshua?
