I gulped down my saliva. I can't believe it. I am actually going to stand beside my favourite person in the entire world.

"Congratulations lady over there! Please come up on stage!" Joshua said happily while looking at me.

"OMG Amber! I'm so happy for you! Go out there bestie, you CANNOT miss this chance!" Mildred shook me and I finally recovered from the unthinkable bombshell. A smile was plastered onto my face as I hugged her and started walking towards the stage. I was walking down the stairs when a thought came to me out of the blue. "What if he recognises you?" I stopped. My heart began palpitating rapidly. He can't remember me. Or else, it will be too embarrassing!

Everyone was staring at me as I stood on the steps like a statue. Joshua then said, "Huh, I guess she must be really nervous to meet me HAHA. Come on Miss, I won't bite" He winked and everyone held their hearts as though an arrow of love shot through them. I blushed and was surprised. I rarely blushed. However, I took a deep breath and gathered up my courage. I told myself that he won't remember me and walked to him confidently. He smiled as I stood in front of him and we shook hands. He asked for my name and I replied.

"My name is Amber Lee. I've been a really big fan of yours since you debuted and I will keep supporting you!" I introduced myself enthusiastically.

"Hehe, thank you so much Ms Lee! I really appreciate that you've been supporting me even before I became famous. Did you come here alone?"

"Nope, I came with my best friend, Mildred Heng. She is right there." I said, pointing to where she was sitting.

"Ahh, hi Miss Heng!" Joshua looked at her direction and waved at my best friend. Mildred yelled back a very spontaneous, "HI JOSHUA I LOVE YOU!!" He and I chuckled.

"You have a very nice friend there haha. So would you like to do a duet or dance with me?"

"A duet! I'm not a very good dancer hehe." I replied, with a little nervousness.

"Haha, alright! Don't be nervous and just sing okay? How about you pick a song?" He reassured me and asked. In a blink of an eye I answered, ""Been Through"! It's my favourite song!" Well, it was a song I played on repeat so many times and even memorised the lyrics. So I was pretty confident about singing it.

Joshua smiled. "That's a favourite of mine as well."

I blushed a little. He genuinely looked like he agreed with me. It felt like he wasn't just saying that to make me happy.

"Alright then! I'll sing the first half of the verse and you sing the other half. We'll sing the chorus and repeat for the 2nd verse okay?"

"Okay!" I replied with enthusiasm again and he giggled. Soon the entire hall was silent as the music began playing. Nervousness was building up inside me as I really did not want to mess up. Especially in front of my favourite idol.

He then began to sing with his melodic and gentle voice...

"I'll get used to it, like catching a cold again."

It was then my turn...

"The ash gray light pushes through and endlessly passes by

But still"

Everyone looked stunned. Including Joshua. He then gave me a grin and continued the song...

J: "I must get through it

Cuz it'll pass, it'll pass"

A: "Just need a moment

Cuz it'll pass, it'll pass"

Both: "Cuz it'll pass, already"

J: "In the gray sky, there is a brighter light

Behind the dark clouds, there is a dazzling light"

A: "You shine like the stars

You light up my heart
At the end of today's hardships"

Both: "Brightly shine on me"

We continued onto the next verse and finished the song with the outro. We were perfectly in sync despite not having rehearsed before. Everyone clapped and cheered. The scene looked so magical and unimaginable to me on stage.

"Wow! You were amazing! You sang so well and you even remind me of someone I used to go to school here with," Joshua said with a chuckle. My face immediately looked pale. "Shoot! Does he recognise me?" I thought in my mind, but hurriedly gained back my composure when he thanked the audience.

"In addition to having a duet with me, there was actually one more surprise," Joshua said which caught my full attention. "Here Ms Lee," he said as he handed me a backstage pass. OMG A BACKSTAGE PASS? I looked back at the handsome being in front of me and he gave me his signature wink again. I wanted to faint right then and there. I was exploding with happiness!

"Thank You Ms Lee. Please join me later after the concert ends," he whispered to me and nobody could hear him since he wasn't speaking through the microphone. I blushed a little and quickly thanked him back. I scurried off to my seat and Mildred squealed.

"You did it girl! You rocked out there! Joshua was so mesmerised by you HAHA!" I blushed at her statement even more. "By the way, what did he whisper and pass to you?" She asked curiously.

I grinned and told her. I was a bit sad that she could not join me as there was only one backstage pass but my bestie was so supportive and she just cheered me on. She also said that she would wait for me outside the concert hall once I was done. I hugged her. She really was the bestest friend I could ask for.
