Meredith was excited and she wasn't exactly sure why. It could have something to do with having sex with Derek today or it could have to do with it being the weekend but she thought it might be the sex. After they had fooled around in the car, they had planned to be alone today. It was wrong to be fooling around with the parent of a student, but she needed to do this. She needed to figure this out because her brain was telling her to see more of Derek. So she wrapped her sweater around her and knocked on his door, waiting for him to answer.

"Hi..." Derek opened the door, sounding out of breath.

"Hey." She giggled, immediately wanting to run her hands through his perfect hair.

"So um..." Derek started, before she cut him off and wrapped her arms around his waist and kissed him.

"Hi." She pushed his front door shut, pushing him against the door as she kissed him hard.

"I...wait..." He pulled away from her as the sound of little feet came down the call and Leighton appeared.

"What?" Meredith frowned just moments after he pulled his lips away.

"Daddy..." Leighton began before she saw Meredith." Meredith!"

"Oh...hi Leighton." Meredith painted a quick smile on her face before turning to Derek and whispering. "She didn't see?"

"I don't think so." Derek breathed, picking Leighton up into his arms. "How are you feeling sweetie?"

"My noses is stuffy." Leighton whined.

"You need to drink a lot of juice, okay?" He felt his daughter's forehead. "Still warm."

"I feel like I got a hairball in my throat."

"Do you feel sick to your stomach?"

"No." Leighton laying her head down on his shoulder.

"I um..." Meredith stood there awkwardly.

"I'm sorry." Derek mouthed to her as he rubbed Leighton's back.

"Yeah." Meredith whispered, stepping back. "Well I hope you feel better Leighton."

"Where are you going?" Leighton frowned.

"I have to go home. I hope you feel better." Meredith turned to the door, avoiding Derek's glance.

"Don't go!"

"I have to Leighton." Meredith looked up at the little girl with a hot pink bow on the top of her head.

"I want to show you the new doll my Uncle Mark got me!"

"Leighton...." Derek breathed.

"Daddy...put me down." Leighton wiggled out of her Dad's arms and walked up to Meredith. "Can I go get it so I can show you?"

"Oh um...I think that's up to your Dad..."

"If Meredith doesn't mind staying...it's fine with me." Derek replied, looking up at her.

"Oh I can um....I can see the doll."

"Okay!" Leighton smiled, running back up the stairs.

"I should go." Meredith said quickly.

"She woke up this morning and refused to go with my mom." Derek explained. "I'm sorry..."

"It's okay...I just should leave."

"She's going to be pretty disappointed."

"Derek I don't know what you want me to do."

"Just let her show you the doll." Derek breathed, as they heard Leighton's footsteps again.
