"Leighton don't get the crayons on the comforter...Trevor rewrite that last line because it's messy." Meredith giggled, lifting a crayon off the bed and onto the coloring book Leighton was using. Leighton sat on the bed in her outfit from school, with a tiara and a green boa around her neck as Trevor sat and worked on his next speech for student body president.

"Read mine!" Leighton held out a piece of paper to Meredith, a huge grin on her face.

"What is this?" Meredith giggled as Trevor stopped and looked up.

"My speech!"

"You're not writing a speech." Trevor rolled his eyes.

"Yeah huh." Leighton replied, holding up her blue crayon.

"A stupid one."

"Trevor." Meredith frowned.

"Mine's more important." Trevor insisted, flipping to a blank page and continuing writing.

"I know that's why I helped decorate your poster." Leighton giggled.

"What?" Trevor looked up at his sister.

"I colored it with Barbie stickers and markers cause I wrote I love Trevor...I can't spell right though." Leighton sighed.

"Leighton! You ruined it!"

"I was making it pretty." Leighton said, returning to writing her own speech.

"That was supposed to be hung up at school!" Trevor crumpled up a piece of paper and threw it at his sister.

"Hey!" Leighton screamed, using all of her strength to try and hit her brother.

"Guys...." Meredith groaned, shifting uncomfortable in the bed.

"I was trying to help." Leighton frowned.

"Okay...okay Trevor...you and your Dad made extra posters for this speech so you have extras so we can use those...Leighton look at me."

"What?" The little girl whispered, trying not to cry.

"Do not color on Trevor's stuff anymore unless he says you can. You wouldn't like it if he did that to your school stuff would you?"

"No...I was just trying to help him so he'll win."

"I know but you didn't ask him first."

"I'm sorry." Leighton sighed turning to her big brother.

"It's okay...you can play with that one." Trevor replied, but you could tell he was still irritated.

"I want to give my speech too."

"Maybe your Dad and I can listen to your speech later when he gets home from the grocery." Meredith breathed, trying not to wince as Leighton accidentally hit her stomach with her tiny feet.

"Okay. I have to finish writing it first!"

"Okay..." Meredith giggled tiredly. "Trevor...can you hand me that bottle of water. "Leighton sat it on the opposite table."

"Yeah." Trevor nodded, grabbing the bottle and handed it to Meredith before looking at her curiously. "Um..."

"Hmm?" Meredith opened the water bottle immediately.

"How long are you going to be staying here?"

"Is he your doctor?"

"Um...well....your Dad saw my injuries and...."
