Jennifer's morning starts with a text from Brendon,
"Good morning, gorgeous"
It's 10 in the morning and Jennifer is still laying on her bed, hugging the comforter. And why not, weekends are her lazy days. Her eyes smile from her cheeks as soon as she sees Brendon's text on her phone's screen.
She text back,
"Good morning, hot-stuff."
Jennifer giggles reading her own text. But she wants him to know how ridiculously hot he is. Within a minute, there's a ping on her phone.
Brendon replied,
"You're hotter than me."
Jennifer blushes by his reply but is also bemused, she has no idea what he sees in her.
"Oh really?" She text back.
"Yes. You're hot, you're beautiful, you're amazing, you're wonderful, you're my everything."
"It's you who makes me feel beautiful, and I love you so much," she replies.
"You have no idea how much I love you too," he texts back.
"Okay, I just woke up and need to freshen up myself. I'll talk to you later or will see you directly when we go to your parents."
"Oh, I'm so looking forward to it. I'll see you then. I'll come around 7:15 to pick you up. Be ready."
"Okay, I will. Bye. XO."
She keeps her phone and walks to her bathroom. She brushes her teeth and goes to the kitchen where she finds a platter of waffles on the counter with strawberry smoothie on the side. Angela has definitely made all this, Jennifer assumes.
"You're up sleepyhead," comes Angela's voice from the balcony. She's sitting on a chair, working on her laptop.
"Treat yourself," she points out at the waffles and smoothie. Jennifer blows a flying kiss to her as a gesture to thank her. Angela smirks and gets back to work.
Jennifer settles herself on the breakfast table with waffles, and smoothie and as she's about to take a bite, she hears her phone ringing. She rushes to her room where she has left the phone and checks it. It's an unknown number but still she answers it.
"Hello?" Says Jennifer with a questioning tone in her voice.
"Hey giggles," a masculine voice comes from the other side.
And with that Jennifer knows who it is,
"Christian! Oh my god! It's you," Jennifer jumps excitingly and walks out of her room.
"Where have you been?" She continues.
"I know Jen, but what to do, work kept me occupied," mutters Christian.
Jennifer hums at his reply and suddenly something strikes her.
"Wait, how come you're calling with an US number?" queries Jennifer.
"Because I'm here, in California."
"What? You mean, like for a vacation?" Jennifer's bemused.
"No idiot. Why will I get an US number if I'm here only for a vacation."
"So you mean-----"
"Yes. I'm going to live her now."
"What!!! Oh my god!" Jennifer's happiness is on cloud nine, and why wouldn't she, after all they are childhood friends.
